Grand Prize:
$15,000 cash prize to be paid to the Grand Prize Winner by check or wire transfer, at Vinepair’s discretion.
Winner will also have their Old-Fashioned recipe included as a main feature and credited in Sponsor’s second edition Old Fashioned recipe book alongside some of the industry’s biggest names. The foregoing “main feature” shall include a spread in the Book with a write-up about the Grand Prize Winner’s inspiration in crafting the cocktail, inclusion of the Grand Prize Winner’s recipe, and a photo of the Grand Prize Winner’s cocktail. The Book will be published, for release in 2027.
Cocktail recipe book will be publicly available by next Old-Fashioned Week (Fall 2027) but will be used by sales or in a direct mailer earlier in the year (June).
Grand Prize Winner to be featured in content appearing on Vinepair.com.
Travel Accommodations for Finale Event.

Runner-Up Prizes Awarded to those Contestants with the second
through fifth highest scores as judged at the Finale Event (Total ARV for All Runner-Up Prizes is $12,250):
Second Place Contestant – $2,000 cash prize to be paid to the second-place contestant by check or wire transfer, at Vinepair’s discretion; Second Place Contestant to be featured in content appearing on Vinepair.com; inclusion of second-place Contestant’s recipe in Book; and Travel Accommodations for Finale Event.
Third Place Contestant – $1,000 cash prize to be paid to the third-place contestant by check or wire transfer, at Vinepair’s discretion; Third Place Contestant to be featured in content appearing on Vinepair.com; inclusion of third-place Contestant’s recipe in Book; and Travel Accommodations for Finale Event.
Fourth Place Contestant – $750 cash prize to be paid to the fourth-place contestant by check or wire transfer, at Vinepair’s discretion; Fourth Place Contestant to be featured in content appearing on Vinepair.com; inclusion of fourth-place Contestant’s recipe in Book; and Travel Accommodations for Finale Event.

Semi-Finalist Prizes. Total ARV for All Semi-Finalist Prizes $1,500: Semi-Finalists with the sixth tenth highest scores shall be awarded a $250 cash prize to be paid to be paid by check or wire transfer, at Sponsor’s discretion, and shall have their cocktail recipe featured in the Book. ARV of all Runner-Up Prizes and Semi-Finalist Prizes is $13,750.
Total ARV of all available Prizes is $43,000.
Travel Accommodations for Selected Finalists
Vinepair will provide the (5) selected Finalists with: one round trip economy airline ticket on an air carrier of Vinepair’s choosing for Finalist from the major commercial airport nearest to applicable Finalist’s residence to travel to/from Louisville, Kentucky; one single occupancy hotel room and tax only at a hotel property of Vinepair’s choosing, such room being booked for a stay of two nights; and a stipend of up to $500 to be redeemed by Finalist for reimbursement of food, beverages, and other reasonable travel expenses, which is contingent upon each Finalist’s submission of receipts to Vinepair for reimbursement.

Must be a lawful permanent resident or citizen of the United States, including the District of Columbia. Contestants must be at least twenty-one years of age or older at the time of entry. Void for residents of Alabama, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Utah, Vermont, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and all other U.S. territories, possessions, and commonwealths.

Review and Additional Information
Submit an original recipe for an Old-Fashioned cocktail using Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Bourbon, or Elijah Craig Straight Rye Whiskey and following the Submission Requirements. Submit a color image of the entrant’s Old-Fashioned cocktail created from the foregoing recipe; and Submit an explanation of the inspiration or your thought process behind the cocktail.
