Ten (10) prizes total throughout the entire Sweepstakes Period; five (5) per Entry Period. Each Nominee selected as a potential winner in one of the Sweepstakes drawings and verified as a winner per the verification process detailed in these Rules (a “Winner”) will receive a $5,000 DonorsChoose gift card or DonorsChoose gift code to redeem towards fulfilling their own requests for classroom supplies through donorschoose.org.

Total approximate retail prize value of all prizes available to be awarded: $50,000 USD.

To be eligible to be nominated as a nominee (a “Nominee”) in the iHeartRadio Thank a Teacher contest, presented by DonorsChoose (the “Sweepstakes”), an individual must be, as of the date of the nomination by a Nominator (defined below) and prize award, (i) a legal resident of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia; (ii) at least eighteen (18) years old and the legal age of majority in his/her state of residence; and (iii) a current Teacher (as defined below) at a public school located in one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia that educates children between the grades of K-12 (“Eligible Public School”).

The Nominator must fulfill all Sweepstakes requirements, including providing the following:

Nominator’s and Nominee’s first and last name, date of birth, and valid email address that must remain the same through winner notification and prize awarding periods.

The name of the Eligible Public School where Nominator is employed as a Teacher An original essay that is no more than 100 words, written by the Nominator, describing why they are nominating the Nominee (the “Essay”).

Note that the Essay does not have to be 100 words, and the Essay will not be judged.
