Grand Prize (1): A $50,001 check made payable to the winner. Prize is not transferable.

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry.

There is a limit of (1) Submission per Entrant for the entire Contest Period.

To enter, you visit siliconvalleystartupscontest.com, and follow the on screen instructions to complete the registration form, including uploading a video (2 minutes or less) introducing your funniest, most ridiculous start-up idea, (1) image or rendering of your startup idea (optional), and any additional links (for example, your social media pages, portfolio, etc.) (optional) (collectively, “Submission”). Video must explain your startup idea, including your company’s name, target user, industry, and hot trends you’re infusing into your startup idea.

Judging: All Submissions will be judged by Sponsor-selected judges on or about January 2, 2019 based on the following criteria: Originiality/Creativity/Humor (40%); Suitability for Promotional Use (30%); and Overall Concept (30%) (the Judging Criteria), to determine (1) Grand Prize winner, subject to verification. Any tied Submissions will be re-judged by the judges based 100% on Originality/Creativity/Humor to determine the winner.
