Members, I am making this contest available to you. However I, in good conscience I will not endorse this promotion. I am not boycotting this Mexican company, simply making a statement. I would personally help win the freedom of an innocent American Marine in jail in Mexico than to win any of the nice prizes they are offering. So you are welcome to enter this promotion if you wish.

I will not be publishing (personally endorsing) your Dos Equis MOST INTERESTING SUMMER PROMOTION on Sweepstakes Today LLC or www.sweepstakestoday.com for several reasons. I have run a fairly high number of your sweepstakes and contests over the years without compensation. So I hope you are grateful for the thousands of dollars of free advertisement you have receive. I am sure some of our 300,000 members have won prizes from your company. I am personally happy for them.

However I am sure a vast majority of my memberships would rather see the American Marine who crossed the border and is now held in a Mexican prison to win his freedom for a simple mistake. I am sure you will agree with me.

Second I would not desire to see any ST member to be treated for a simple mistake in a similar manner if they would to win this trip in Mexico.

Last, we take a non-political position on Sweepstakes Today. However seeing an innocent American being held over a simple mistake of turning down the wrong street/road and desiring to see him freed is not political, this is simply being American.
