Prize Details
(2) Grand Prizes: Each Grand Prize Winner will be awarded $10,000. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the Nominee, not the entrant.
ARV of all Grand Prizes is $20,000.
(18) Finalist Prizes: Each Finalist that does not win the Grand Prize will be awarded $1,000. The Finalist Prize will be awarded to the Nominee, not the entrant.
The ARV of all Finalist Prizes is $18,000.
ARV of all prizes is $38,000.
ARV of all Grand Prizes is $20,000.
(18) Finalist Prizes: Each Finalist that does not win the Grand Prize will be awarded $1,000. The Finalist Prize will be awarded to the Nominee, not the entrant.

Rules
ELIGIBILITY: Legal residents of the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their state) or older are eligible to enter.
Review and Additional Information
ENTRY: Enter the Contest by visiting www.johnsonville.com/bestofus and clicking the links for the official entry form. Entry must include an essay in up to 500 words describing how either an Educator or a Community Celebration (the "Nominee") represents the "Best of US." Entrants may also submit photographs in support of the entry; limit five per entry. While all photos will be accepted, high-resolution photos taken with at least a four mega pixel camera are preferred. Entries must also include your name, your address, a valid email address, and your Nominee's name, phone number and/or email address ("Entry Materials").
Entrants may nominate either (a) an Educator or (b) a Community Celebration.
A. Educators: If nominating an Educator, the Educator must meet all of the following criteria:
Educator must be living in the United States and must be 18 years of age as of April 2, 2013;
Educator must work as a classroom teacher, school administrator, counselor or coach working with youth from preschool level through high school; and
Educator must be currently employed by a school or other organization focused on educating and advancing members of the community (such as Boys & Girls' Club, YMCA or other similar organization).
B. Community Celebration: If nominating a Community Celebration, the Community Celebration must meet all of the following criteria:
Community Celebration must take place in the United States;
Community Celebration must be inclusive to the entire community and promote positive, family-appropriate themes;
Community Celebration must occur annually; and
Community Celebration must attract a minimum audience of 100 participants.
Educator judging criteria: Once eligible, nominations for the Best of US educator category will be scored based on the educator's ability to:
Promote student success by infusing their education with experiences that go beyond what's required in the curriculum and fostering the best possible environment for students to learn and grow (25%).
Go above and beyond the call of duty by exhibiting dedication in his or her local community outside of the school environment (25%).
Represent the values of America, such as hard-working, humble, driven, accepting and collaborative, and help instill these fundamental values in others (25%).
Be an engaging and inspiring presence that motivates and impacts students, colleagues and the community (25%).
Community Celebration judging criteria: Once eligible, nominations for the Best of US community celebration category will be scored based on the celebration's ability to:
Showcase the uniqueness and camaraderie of the community (25%).
Invite all factions of the community to come together to celebrate in a peaceful manner (25%).
Inspire community pride and evoke the values that make America great (25%).
Attract a minimum audience of 100 participants and/or attendees (25%).
Each entry will then be awarded a score from 0 (poor) to 100 (perfect) in each category.
Two Grand Prize Winners (one in each category: Educator and Community Celebration) will be selected during the Voting Period through public voting on the Website. The public will be asked to judge and vote on the Nominee who best represents "The Best of US." The Finalist in each category (Educator and Community Celebration) with the highest number of valid public votes will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner (subject to verification). In the event of a tie, the winner will be the entry among the tied Finalists with the higher score in the criterion of Relevance to Subject Matter from in the Finalist Selection Period. In the event of a further tie, that tie will be broken based on the highest score for Originality in the Finalist Selection Period. In the event a potential winner is disqualified, he/she shall forfeit his/her prize and the Finalist with the next highest ranking will be selected as a the Grand Prize Winner. Being named a winner is subject to validation and verification of eligibility and compliance with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules.
Voting is limited to (1) vote per person/authorized e-mail account holder per day during the Voting Period. Offers to pay for votes or offers of like-kind exchanges are NOT permissible. Use of third-party websites, online social networking tools, or similar devices primarily designed or intended to generate or trade votes, as determined in Sponsor and Administrator's sole discretion, is expressly prohibited. Use of personal social media accounts, blogs and websites to direct participants to voting site is permissible. Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right to disqualify any votes which do not comply with these Official Rules.
