Prize Details
(1) GRAND PRIZE: $30,000 worth of home repairs, renovations, inspection. A Holmes Approved inspector will do the inspection and a Holmes Approved Contractor will do the subsequent repairs, all of which will be coordinated by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Rules
Contest is open only to legal residents of the (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least the age
of majority in their state of residence (which is (18) years of age, except for Alabama and Nebraska where the age of majority is nineteen (19) years of age, and Mississippi where the age of majority is (21) years of age) at the time of entry, and a current home owner with a forced air system.
Limit: Each entrant may enter the Contest (1) time during the Contest Period.

How to Enter:
Follow the directions to submit (1) essay and up to (2) pictures of your home demonstrating why your home is deserving of remodeling (the "Submission").
Essay Guidelines:
The Submission essay must be in text format;
The Submission essay must not exceed 1,000 words in length;
The Submission essay must be in English.
Each Submission photo must be in .jpg format;
Each Submission photo must not exceed 5 MB in size; and
If the Submission shows the home's exterior, the address must be illegible.
Winner Determination:
a. Initial Judging: After the conclusion of the Contest Period, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select the top 40 entrants with the highest scoring Submissions from among all eligible Submissions received (Finalists), based on an application of the following criteria:
Quality of Submission – Image(s) (20%);
Quality of Submission - Essay (30%); and
Fit to Contest Theme (50%).
Finalist Judging: After the Finalists have been determined, Mike Holmes in his sole discretion will select the potential Grand and First Prize winners from among the Finalists, based on an application of the following criteria (Judging Criteria):
Creativity/Originality of Submission (10%);
Fit to Contest Theme (40%); and
Severity of Remodel Need (50%).
