(1) Prize: The winning mechanic will win a garage makeover for either their business or home location valued at $25,000. The makeover is intended to up-grade the appearance of the garage, allow the mechanic to add additional equipment, tools, furniture or electronics. The makeover cannot be used towards renovations or construction. A consultant will work with the prize winner to assist in their makeover.
The person who nominated the mechanic will win a prize of $5,000. Honorable Mention (10) Mechanics and their Nominators will win a Castrol shirt ARV $20.

ARV.of all prizes $30,400.

You must be at least (18) years of age at the time of entry, a licensed driver in your state of residence, and a legal resident of the United States.

JUDGING AND AWARDING OF PRIZES: (1) Winning essay will be selected on the basis of the best statement of “Why I Trust My Mechanic”. The essay will be judged on originality and creativity, and relevance to the theme of confidence and trust. Points for each of these categories will be awarded as follows: story which illustrates why you trust your mechanic will count for 50% and originality and creativity will count for 50%. Essays will be judged by BP Lubricants USA, Promotions Etc. and other qualified writing professionals.

ESSAY FORMAT AND RULES: Essay must address the following topic. In 200 words or less nominate your trusted mechanic as the Castrol GTX Garage King and tell us why your mechanic deserves this title. Essay must be in English or Spanish, must be the original work of the entrant, must not violate any copyright or other rights, and must not have been previously published.
