I joined ST July of 2006. In September 2006 I won a Mercury Mariner and from then on I never looked back! I have been entering sweeps for 30+ years back in the day of snails and Contest Newsletter. I had no direction once the internet came and could never find a website until I found ST. ST has changed my life in more ways than one. First, it has enriched my life by rewarding me with many wonderful prizes for my family and me! Second, it has become an addicting hobby that I truly love. I take my hobbies very seriously, by the way! Sweeping, golfing (and a little gambling). Some of my favorite prizes over the years thru ST besides the Marner have been a movie premier in my hometown for friends and family, free pizza for a year, free Ben & Jerry's for a year (now totally hooked)!, a $2,000 guitar for my musician son (who was in a serious and almost critical accident at the time). This guitar really brought a smile to his face and was a nice picker-upper during his recovery! Lots of presents for my husband and grandchildren. Probably one of my most cherished prizes through ST was a contest by Timex. I wrote an essay about my brother on why I thought he should win the Ironman award of the month. They awarded a monthly prize based on essays and mine won! He won a special Timex watch, $500 awarded to the charity of his choice and several really nice gifts from Timex. I did not receive anything, but my win was being able to reward him! PRICELESS! I also wrote an essay about my other brother thru Golf Digest and was selected as the final 1,500 from over 60,000 entries! We didn't win but it was fun being in the finals! One of the other things I like about ST is my "ST family". Informative and supportive. I have grown fond of some of my sweeping buddies and am always glad to hear about everyones wins. When I'm down (not just about sweeps), I can come here and read about everyones wins and feel better and more motivated. Also, Craig has given me advice on some prizes and dealing with some administrators that has been invaluable. Thank you ST and ST members! Vickie
