Okay, freaking out here! I received a thick letter from a sweepstakes promotions company with first class postage. Good sign, I thought but .. don't get excited because I once had to sign for a Fedex envelope which contained a $10 gift card! I opened very calmly ..

• Back to school shopping spree for up to three children, a Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH Camera, an archival quality photo album and $1,000 cash to be awarded as a check.

Total ARV of either is prize package is $3,800.

It feels so good to win a daily! I wanted to win a flat-screen for so long, I made it my mission to win one! But 6 weeks ago our TV became possessed and started turning on and off, and changing channels by itself and we were about to have family stay for a month! So we bought a flatscreen and said, wouldn't it be funny if I won a TV now! I'm grateful I met my mission but it is a little ironic!

I'm wondering how the "back to school shopping spree" is awarded - perhaps some kind of gift card? I'll let you all know

I really had been wondering if I'd lost my mojo because this year my wins have all been small in comparison to my first two years. (Except for the TiVo I won in January.) But now I'm reminded again how it's a numbers game and you need to keep plugging in there no matter how bleak or pointless it seems at times. I don't want to rub it in but I did win a car and three vacations in less than 2 years .. then crickets chirping for the next year. And as fed up as I was, I still tried to enter every day. I believe slow and steady wins the race.

Thank you Mr Sweepy and sweepers and sweepettes! This hobby is a real trip and I still can't believe they give this stuff away for free!!

Congrats Samantha!  Glad to hear you're back in the winners' circle!  I know what you mean about the mojo -  been a very bad year for me in more ways than one, including my wins.  Few and far between, and small at that!  However, I agree with you - I feel like I might be down but I'm only out if I take myself out!  I'll keep sweeping away - hopefully I'll get to post an encouraging big win someday again too!  Vickie

I am so  happy for you, Samantha!  I'm guessing you'll probably find some room to put the TV  in if you decide to take that part.  It sure would be nice if the  other choice was in a gift card, then maybe you'd have more choices on what and where to buy stuff.  You are definitely one lucky lady from the sounds of things.  I'm still waiting for the big one, and as you say, will keep plugging along.

You haven't lost your MoJo. In the world of sweeping, we have to remember that it is both the journey & the destination that matter.  I try to look on the teadious process of entering & clicking as a part-time job+hobby. This way when I become bored and tired from entering the many sweepstakes/contests, I remind myself that if I don't complete and sumbit the entries, I won't win anything. I also believe that even though the odds of winning may be high at times, they are still (usually) better than the lottery---and definitely cheaper!
