what to do when sponsors are no help...

My husband won the $150 gift certificate from the Listerine 2x a day sweeps, printed out the screen shot just said "congratulations, you will receive your prize in 6-8 weeks," according to the rules it says winner may need a signed affidavit, but he never received anything aside from screen shot, so it's been 13 weeks now and still nothing, so one member had the phone number of listerine since they had a similiar problem, so I called yesterday and they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about it, I started thinking maybe I was crazy,(except for the print out I have!) the way they were talking and telling me there was no such sweepstakes and this was not a legitimate win.  My husband told me not to worry about it and just let it go, but $150 is a lot to just forget about, if it were $10 or $20 I'd say fine, but I'm not sure who to get a hold of. Anyways if anyone knows any tips or anyway of dealing with this, I'd appreciate it!

    Thanks!

     Rules are here: http://www.listerine.com/official-rules.jsp

Looks like the marketing/promotions company that handled the sweep for Johnson & Johnson is Octagon, Inc of Norwalk, CT - http://www.octagon.com/

     Good luck!

Eprize has been a huge pain in the rump of late. Other site forums are full of complaints on them. I recently emailed Johnson and Johnson. Their Acuvue line sponsored a sweeps where many of us won $300 gift cards to Best Buy. The required 8-10 weeks is well past and still no card for my win. Eprize answers either not at all on mails or sends a form letter or lies and tells me it has already shipped. J&J are supposed to answer an email within 3 days but when I complained to them (nicely) they never bothered. Oddly enough, soon after my mail to J&J, I got the card.

I had been sending occasional mails to eprize about a die cast car that I won in January. They never responded until I wrote and asked if Citibank would like to hear about it. Finally, this October, I received it.

I know things happen but they could at least be honest about the time it will take and not lie. Good luck to you. I say send them (eprize) a mail every few days to let them know it won't go away. I rarely ever enter their sweeps now...not worth the hassle.

Thanks, actually the listerine sweep wasn't administered by eprize, but I finally called again and spoke to a customer service rep who actually took the time to listen to me and tell me she wouldn't hang up until she received an answer for me, which was a nice change because I spoke to 2 other reps who pretty much made me sound as if I was making it up or I was just plain crazy since they claimed to know nothing of any sweepstakes.  Anyways the rep told me the prizes were delayed but I would receive it asap and 2 days later it was overnighted.  I can't tell what the deal with eprize is it's kind of hard to say if it is the sponsors not shipping the prizes on time or eprize not sending them out.  I won a TV on the sharp contest sponsored by eprize and in the rules and my congrats email from eprize it said their standard "8-10 weeks,"(from sept 21) but I have already received my TV, but then I have had several and currently waiting on some wins that are on 12-14 weeks.  I try to be patient since I realize they administer so many sweeps, but on the same hand maybe they shouldn't take on so many if they don't even have time to answer an inquiring email or can't deliver prizes on time...It's frustrating though not to receive things in the time frame they say, sometimes I wonder if I will see them at all, I don't worry about a $5 gift card to wherever, but my husband kept telling me just to forget about this particular one for $150, that is a lot to just forget, I see it as I'm taking the time to read about their product and enter, then I deserve what I win..just my thoughts :)
