    Prayers

Please let your prayers flow for our friends in the path of hurricane-Gustav.  My daughter and grandchilren are in the direct path of the strom in Lou. and we are dued to be hit in Texas where I live. My daughter lives on the coast of Lou. 20 miles from New Orleans and have mandatory evacation. I live in the Dallas area and will not feel the bad effects of Gustav. My daughter and her family are on their way to me, but I think about the thousand of people that don't have the funds, places to go, or tansportation to run.  May God's mercy be with them. Prayers, Prayers, and more prayers.  Thanks so much.

    Re: Prayers

I too live in the DFW area. We visited New Orleans a month ago and had a great time. However we did explore the areas most hardest hit they still

had not but begun to try and rebuild how very sad it was. I  have been praying that they do not take another direct hit. Those poor people are so

struggling to make a come back.

    Re: Prayers

You and your family have been added to my prayer list and I've passed it on to my prayer group. My family is a survivor of hurricane Andrew (Aug 24, 1992).  It was a devastating event not only for my family but for hundreds of others.  It was also an event that changed our lives in many ways.  We were blessed by the kindness of strangers and many prayers.  May God bless you and your family.

    Re: Prayers

Thank-you so much! I just found out a short time ago that my daughter had to leave her husband behind. His employer would not let him leave, he being the manager ,so pray for his safety. This is what I love so much about this site. The members sometimes will disagree on a subject, but we always support each other.  All of you have touched my heart

    Re: Prayers

Oneita, your family and all the residents of the coast are in my thoughts and prayers.   Hopefully things have gotten started early enough to prevent the disasterous  outcome of Katrina.

    Re: Prayers

Most of the people were evacated; over a million people. The hurricane will hit Lou. tomorrow about Mid- morning at catergory 4 or 5. They are calling it the storm of the century. At least my family is safe with me; even my son-in-law.  Thanks for all your prayers.  I heard that 2,000 decided to stay.

    Re: Prayers

All your prayers worked a miracle!!!!! My family made it to my house in Texas. They are still with me.   They are not allowed back to their homes until Wednesday. No damage just a lot of clean-up. It went from a catergory 5 and strom of the century  to catergory 3 and little damage.  I know your prayers were heard and help. Praise the Lord. By the way, this is my alias for owilkins.
