Why are Democrats treating John Edwards like he was radioactive, but Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy are treated like royalty?

Edwards only cheated on his wife once, for a few months.

Bill Clinton's been cheating on Hillary for 33 years, with countless women. Clinton lied about his infidelity to a federal grand jury. Clinton has even been accused of multiple sexual assaults and at least one rape.

Ted Kennedy's indiscretions actually resulted in the drowning death of an innocent woman decades ago. And he's rewarded with an open-ended Senate seat and a place of honor at Democrat conventions.

Poor John Edwards.... he must be wondering what he's doing wrong.

We were just discussing Ted Kennedy at work today, and were wondering why everyone has conveiniently forgotten about the Chappaquiddick Incident and his other indiscretions, we cannot figure it out.

I don't waste my time on politicians personal lives since they are all crooked. It is expected of them anymore now. But if I has to hedge a guess, Edwards is in the national dog house for doing this on his terminally ill wifes short lived watch. Atleast wait till she kicks the bucket before sewing the oats!

Democratic men cheat on their wives with other women and it is looking like the Republican men cheat on the their wives with other men.

Speaking of Kennedy, A friend of my DH recently started working at the Capital and Ted was Staggering down the halls of the capital building stone drunk. He had to be helped on to the private elevator. Nice to know that he work/votes drunk eh?

recently = 2 years ago. He wreaked of booze

 And Ted Kennedy is one of the Senators who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, passing judgement on the moral charater of Supreme Court nominees.

My head is ready to explode.

The American memory is short and John Edwards is the plague du jour.  Besides, is it worse to cheat on your wife who seems to willingly look away when it happens to keep her status as first lady, or to cheat on your wife when she is battling life ending cancer?  I personally think the latter is worse.

90% of ALL men cheat on their wifes if just for one night.

Wow, count me in that little 10% that doesn't. On the other hand I heard *rolls eyes* that 97% of all WOMEN cheat! *rolls eyes again*

I am very disappointed this thread of postings has not been deleted.  I requested that all of the initial ones be taken off due to the fact, it is very inappropriate to post political and other emails on this sweepstakes forum.  As things heat up and we continue towards Nov., it will be tempting to spout off regarding personal political views.  There are plenty of other places to do this.  Please respect this site for what it is - a sweepstakes site.

I'm very disappointed this is not listed as a contest under the category of "other".....after all it is held every four years (similar to Reader's Digest Sweeps ), open to U.S. Citizens and there could be millions of winners.

Personally I come here to sweep.  I'm sure there are many Republican websites where you can bash all the Democrats and I'm sure there is a Democrat site where you can bash all the Republicans.  I'm sure there are websites where you can bash each other all you want but I come here to sweep.  I have a full time job and barely have enough time to sweep.  When I come to the forum I don't like having to wade thur all my unread posts just to see people bashing each other's beliefs and ideals. 

Not expressing opinion as regards political discussion.  Free speech still prevails; however, it is up to Mr. S. to determine appropriateness of posts.

Rolling eyes at cheating stats:  husband died in 2002 and cheating was not part of our lifestyle.  My parents were married for 60 plus years and cheating was not part of their lifestyle.
