    Chevron/Texaco Scam

I received a e-mail today stating that I had won $200,000 from Chevron/Texaco and to contact Kenneth Davids to confirm my name, address and phone number.  I noticed that the contact phone number was unlike US phone numbers so I called the phone company to check on the number that was given.  I learned that the phone number was from overseas.  I then called the Better Business Bureau and was told that it sounded like a scam.  After doing a little research of my own, I learned that Kenneth Davids is a scammer from Nigeria who has scammed many people.  It pays to research prize e-mails that promise a lot of money but doesn't seem quite right!

Thanks for sharing.  There are some major scams out there.

How you look at a situation is very important, for how you think about a problem may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. When you get discouraged or depressed, try changing your attitude from negative to positive and see how life can change for you. Remember, your attitude toward a situation can help you to change it -- you create the very atmosphere for defeat or victory.”
