    I'm back :D

Hey everyone, I missed ST! I've been gone since May... I'm glad to be back and sweeping again.

I don't know if a lot of you knew, but I was engaged to be married... So in May my fiance left me for a co-worker of mine. It's been a whirlwind of drama, stress, frustration, and headaches but I am back on my feet. I moved to Northern Arizona (and decided I didn't like Flagstaff) and after missing my family and friends moved back to Southern Arizona. I have a new job, am about to move into a new place (am going to rent my first house, yay!), and am pursuing things, like finishing school, that I wasn't able to do before with my ex.

So wow! Yeah while I was down in the dumps, I got a package where I won a couple of DVDs. Unfortunately they were kids DVDs (lol) but I am going to trade them into Bookmans and get myself some new books (which always makes me happy). So hooray for winning when you take a hiatus from sweeping.

I'm hoping to top my prize from 2007 (trip to England, although I didn't take it until January) with some much needed cash in 2008/2009. I'm not looking forward to the taxes for that trip since now I will be paying the full thing for me AND my ex (who left me with all the bills, and did some other horrible things)... But I'm just glad to be back to being part of the community and reading about all the exciting sweepy winners while I was gone.

    Ciao!

    Kim:  Welcome back.

How you look at a situation is very important, for how you think about a problem may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. When you get discouraged or depressed, try changing your attitude from negative to positive and see how life can change for you. Remember, your attitude toward a situation can help you to change it -- you create the very atmosphere for defeat or victory.”

Glad your back.  Sounds like you had a rough ride, but you have a good head on your shoulders. We missed you in the forum.  If you get down again, remember prayers always help.  God is always listening.  Hope you win something great soon.            Oneita

You have had a really tough time since May....and we all ache for you and your problems.  But it sounds like you are now back on your feet ready to move on and let go...(look at hte bright side, if you were married to the jerk, it would have been even more problems). I hope you can win some $$ to help with your cash flow problems and enjoy your new job, finish your education and count your blessings.  Good to have you back...of course I remember all about the trip to London.     Evie-WI

Hey Kim - When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.  Looks like you are opening your very own lemonade stand. It's good you found out what a jerk he was before the vows were exchanged.  At least now you can start anew and get on with your life.  Sounds like you got lots going for you; stay the course, and most of all - finish your education.  We're so glad to see you back with the ST family, and hope your future is bright with lots of wins,

    Jeannie

Hi, Sorry to hear about the jerk but looks like you won more than a sweepstake by getting rid of him. It's the other woman that is the loser in this one, once a dog, always a dog, he will cheat on her too. They always do sooner or later just don't be there when he comes crawling back. So Congratulations on taking out the trash! I hope that you will continue to win this time with the real sweepstakes. Good Luck ! donna

HELLO!!!!! You were missed on ST, and I missed reading your (sometimes hilarious) posts and win announcements. I am glad to hear that life is looking up for you in the sense that you are going to get a chance to finish school, start a new job and get your own place, how exciting! You go girl! I know, how 1992 of me to say that. (o: Yes, sometimes life is a *** and people are jerks that we never imagined them to be, but Jeannie was so right when she said at least you found out before you two were hitched. Cruddy situations that we have gone through, such as yours, are best chalked up as learning experiences and a chance to find out more about ourselves, yada yada yada, fresh starts, you know the deal I am sure.

I will pray that you can find a new peace and happiness in life, and that you will find a new best friend and soul mate to share life with (remember, lots of dates, and be picky now!!! Take the guy you want......it can't hurt!). I will hope that you also get a nice, great, big, fat, huge roll of money in the mail (okay, at least a check with a few numbers followed by four, five or even six zeros before the period), that you can use to pay for whatever. *Just an idea though, have you thought about taking your ex to small claims in your local courts to sue for his half of everything.........you know, the two of you were to share costs of everything, blah blah blah, you got stuck with everything.......sue for his share and interest, hey, it is worth the $50 (give or take) fee to file the papers and get a court date, right?* Still, I will be wishing big money wins for you!

    Take it Easy Now!

Kim, I am so sorry to hear that you have been having such a difficult time recently.  Glad to know that you are picking yourself up and dusting off a bit and facing your future head on.  I hope that you do get a nice cash win to help you recover from your cash strapped situation.  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, and am proud of you for keeping your chin up.

ditto..........to all the good advice. Now you can tell strangers that you just lost a lot of weight ( fill in how much he weighed) and that you feel terrific after shedding so much excess baggage. Big Smile Sorry for that ,but you sound like you will be so much better off without him.   Now, i am wishing you the best of luck on sweeping and WELCOME BACK.
