Sorry you were made to feel that way. This is mostly a very friendly place. Also very helpful place. Sometimes people get in a mood. I think sometimes members mean comments as jokes, but come across wrong.   :)

    ddyddy,

I am so sorry that you felt that way. This usually is the absolute best bunch of people you'd ever want to meet.

As for your last post I think I know who you are referring to and they are just that way.  Sometimes what that person says is genuinely funny and other times we just have to overlook their immature comments.

No question asked in the Forum is a  "STUPID QUESTION". Each and every one of us has had to ask something at one time or another because we knew someone on here would have an answer for us.

Has anyone ever told you about the search feature?  At the top of the Forum page is a place to put in a word to search for related threads, a whole lot of information will come up for most anything you want to know.  If you can't find it there, then always ask whatever questions you have, and if someone on here doesn't know it, then always ask Mr. Sweepy, he will always try to find an answer for you.

We want all members to feel free to ask any questions they have and be a participating Forum Member.  So don't let this one thing keep you from posting whatever you want to.  Good luck in all that you do and may many sweep wins find their way to your door!  : )

Oh no!  please don't feel that way.  Honest, this place is the "bestest" helpful place on the net.  Sometimes folks on here have their head screwed on wrong on a particular day and when they post an answer to someone's question it sometimes comes across as a mean comment when in fact it should have been a joke.  I know I sometimes have "those" days and for that reason I will read the forum but will not post - in case my disposition comes across in print.  Please continue to post and good luck to you in your daily sweeping.

PLEASE don't feel that way! We're all in the same boat. I hope you got the answer to help you. I'm sorry you feel this way but I do hope that feeling changes because this IS the best site. Good luck to you and hope to hear about your big(or small) wins soon.   Beth

It's a good idea to not take things personally here, and it's also wise to develop a thicker skin. Unless someone is actually calling you obscene names, no harm is meant.

I have to say, I looked through all your previous posts, and I couldn't find any example of anyone ridiculing you, talking down to you. I instead found lots of helpful answers to all your questions. Not sure if you maybe mistook this forum for some other sweepstakes site, but I just don't see what you're referring to here.

    ddyddy,

Hey there! I see that you posted this yesterday, and have not visited back since. So, I am going to throw my two cents in anyways, even though you might not come back to read it.
    1) You have posted several times asking questions, and often times have had a positive response, and have had your questions answered by Mr.S or by other ST members. Here are a few links to posts of yours in case you need a refresher:
    http://www.sweepstakestoday.com/cs/forums/t/3461.aspx?PageIndex=1
    http://www.sweepstakestoday.com/cs/forums/p/4010/24512.aspx#24512
    http://www.sweepstakestoday.com/cs/forums/p/3464/20091.aspx#20091
    http://www.sweepstakestoday.com/cs/forums/p/3465/20093.aspx#20093
    2) I don't see why you thought you were being talked down to in this post http://www.sweepstakestoday.com/cs/forums/p/5494/37210.aspx#37210 (I am assuming this is the one you are referencing above), because I just don't see it. Whining will not help you get any positive responses from people, maybe pity, or people defending their fellow ST members, but not help. This is a wonderful site, with lots of wonderful people. You weren't talked down to, you just had Jerry comment on your page, and well, Jerry is Jerry. He doesn't talk down to anyone (nor does anyone else for that matter), but some of us just state the obvious. (Some people, uh-hem, have made comments thatwe shouldn't go back and reply in our own posts, but pish-shaw, a lot of us do it anyways! It might have been a rude thing to say, but I don't think anyone took it that way,and we still post how we want to.)

If you need help, or more clarification, ASK for it. Example, here is a post of mine from when I started: http://www.sweepstakestoday.com/cs/forums/p/3287/19017.aspx#19017 and I just didn't get it, so I kept on asking questions until I did get it, and I did get the help that I was looking for. Yes, I could have done a search for auto fill and probably found my answer, but I didn't because I didn't know, and I think that was all the little 'comment' about having the question asked 20-30 times already. But you were also wished Happy Sweeps at the same time, which seems to me as a nice thing to type as well, so I think that you read the whole thing wrong.

ddyddy, people here are awesome! I have read your posts and other comments, and you are also a neat member. I really think that you read a comment a certain way, but hey, take it with a grain of salt if you still think that you were being talked down to. But really, you weren't. It was just Jerry, and he replies on a lot of posts like that. I am sure that you have read around the forum a lot since you have been here since October 2007, so you should know that. If you need help, ask, if you still don't get the answers you are looking for, ask again! If that fails, PM someone or Mr.S even, and see if you can't get an answer that way. Sure, people are going to be shi**y sometimes, but we all can't be happy campers all of the time. If you think you are being ridiculed and spoken down to again, and that someone is trying to make you feel stupid ignore it. Or, you could even PM that person and told them they hurt your feelings and ask them to edit their post, that will surely work out.

If you have a question, ask it, and search it too if you feel like it, but if you don't, then don't. But most important, try to stay upbeat and positive, I really think that makes a huge difference in everyone's attitudes online. Nobody wants to come in here and read crap, nobody. I am sorry if you went to your post and read crap, that really is a bummer. I hope that you find your answers you are looking for in the future, and I hope that you get a positive response from everyone.

Good Luck in your Sweeping, Hope to Read of your Wins Soon!

    Mindy

ps- Jerry, quit being a doo-dee head (FOOCA*again*RAOFLMBO!) online, some people don't think your dry humor or comments are super funny. Hahahaa! You know I am kidding buddy! I love 'ya! But for real, try to be nice. Wink

    Re: new post

ddyddy:  I was one of two people that responded to your last post.  I went back and read my posting again.  I cannot see anything that I posted that ridiculed your concerns or talked down to you.  If my posting offended you in any manner, please accept my apology.  I would never deliberately hurt anyone with my words via postings nor would the majority of our members.

I also reviewed your other postings and tried to determine if I had responded in an unkind or inappropriate manner.  Nope, nothing there either.

We all joke around sometimes.  We all have a different and unique way of responding based on our level of reading, writing, and comprehending the issue at hand.  I know I had to learn not to take things personally in the forum or I would be sitting in the corner wondering why everyone was picking on poor me.

We all have a different way of responding to questions or offering congrats.  Sometimes, if a question has been posted time and time again I may refer someone to do a site search which gives a different perspective than my own.

As a personal aside, I was trying to upload (or is it download) my avatar.  I read the instructions, but I could not wrap my head around what I was doing wrong.  I felt like a real dunce and was positive I would never be able to have an avatar.  I kept asking questions and asking questions.  Everyone on the posts kept coming back and giving me advice until I finally managed to solve my problem.

If there is anything I can do to help you clarify a question or concern, please feel free to ask.

Enough posted by me on this subject, I am off to seek another win.

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. - Dr. Seuss

    Re: new post

When I read the comment I think ddyddy is referring to, I thought "OUCH". I think alot of people would have had hurt feelings. If I was new, I may think twice before coming back to forum. I felt it would hurt ddyddy after reading it and way before he posted this. I can't believe some of you don't even think it sounded a little mean to read that if you were new and needed info. Some people feel stupid enough having to ask questions. I have seen members get bent out of shape over a lot less, yet you think he should just be okay with it. I don't think any of comments were meant to hurt, but you need to see it from ddyddy's point of view. I am glad we can all have fun with each other. We are such a great group of supporters for each other on ST. Now lets get back to having fun and winning!
