Computer illiterate needs your help........................YES YOU!

    Smile HELLO FELLOW SWEEPERS!

Recently I've been having a minor problem seeing pics/vids/animations on certain websites. Instead of those things, I get an empty outlined box with a small white box in the upper lefthand coner. Inside that small box is a tiny red square, a tiny green circle, and a tiny blue triangle.

I have the latest Adobe Flash Player, so I don't think that's the problem.

Thanks for your time and patience.

not sure if this is the solution, but I have norton antivirus and internet security, and I have to turn it off while entering certain sweeps, otherwise I cannot view the entry boxes...

    no security/IE

The problem also happens on a forum where people embed "youtube vids"(I think?) in their post.

Above go to tools -- option -- advanced -- scroll down to  --multimedia -- check on "Play animation on webpages and on play sound on webpages." click on apply. May have to reboot.

    A-HA!!!Big Smile

I'm not sure what caused the problem, but I fixed it by running the Adobe flash player uninstaller, then re-downloading it.

I found the solution on YOUTUBE's FAQ/help section.

    Thanks everyone for your help.

I had a similar problem with McAfee awhile back. You have to download an "uninstaller" to permanently remove their software from your computer.
