    OLD FOLKS and MEMORIES

What old folks have probably forgotten, and young kids never knew about.

Click on a State, and then the city or the county.  I found things I had forgotton, or never knew about. Kids now your parents or grandparents, or great grandparents or the old geezer next door can talk about things in the past, of olden times, of their youth, of the good ol' days.

Jim:  Thanks for the link.  I looked up Topeka, Kansas and it was interesting to see how things have changed and how some things have remained the same.

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. - Dr. Seuss

Jim, thanks for sharing this, my husband and I got a kick out of looking at some of these things! However, most of the things we looked at still look the same (just a little, uh, seasoned now), but it was fun to see them back then with the old cars (or buggies!)
