    ADT Million Dollar Challenge - GOLF

    My husband told me about this one, his company was just bought by ADT so we cannot enter.  I know this is a lot of information, but unlike Mr. Sweepy, I could not condense what I thought would be important to know before you enter the sweepstakes.  Also I did put the link in at the bottom for the complete rules.  Good Luck to all that can enter!

    begins on August 22, 2009 at 1:00 AM PT and end on September 30, 2009 at 11:59 PM PT

    Eligibility. Open only to individuals who are legal residents of and physically located in the forty-eight (48) United States or the District of Columbia, who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Void in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands and other United States territories, and where restricted, taxed or prohibited by law.   Employees, officers, and directors of Promotion Entities (as defined below), and their immediate family members (spouses and/or parents, children, and siblings, and their spouses, regardless of where they live) and persons living in the same household as these persons (whether or not related), are not eligible to enter or win the Promotion. Promotion Entities as referenced herein, shall include Sponsor, ADT Security Services, Inc., Tyco International (US), Ltd, Breakers Resort, World Golf Tour, Inc. (“WGT”) and their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, and their administrative, advertising and promotional agencies, legal advisors and any other entity involved in the development, administration, promotion or implementation of the Promotion. Professional golfers as defined by the United States Golf Association ("USGA") shall be ineligible to participate or win the Promotion.

    Once you have logged on to the Website, select, play and complete the Nine Hole Closest-to-the-Hole Challenge (the "Game") on the Website. The Game will require you to take nine (9) golf shots in an attempt to get the golf ball closest to the hole. Once you have completed the Game, you will receive one (1) automatic entry into the Promotion.

    Time to play: Approximate time to play the Game is five (5) minutes.

    Grand Prize: The Grand Prize will consist of the following: (i) Roundtrip economy/coach airfare for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest (“Guest”) from a major commercial airport near Grand Prize Winner’s residence to Palm Beach International Airport and ground transportation to and from airport to hotel; (ii) three (3) nights, four (4) days hotel accommodations at the Breakers Resort from October 24-27, 2009; (iii) VIP entry for Grand Prize Winner and Guest to the ADT Golf Skills Challenge (“Prize Event”), (iv) a full set of TaylorMade® golf clubs (“Golf Club Set”) including R7 irons (3,4,5,6,7,8,9 SW, PW), a R9 Driver, a 3 wood, a 5 wood, rescue club and a rosa putter (or such other clubs as designated by Sponsor in its sole discretion), and (v) the opportunity to participate in the Million Dollar Shot as further described below. The Grand Prize also includes the following Prize Event components: (i) two (2) invitations to the Welcome Reception scheduled to take place on October 25, 2009, (ii) two (2) VIP passes to the taping of the ADT Golf Skills Challenge scheduled to take place on Monday, October 26, 2009, (iii) two (2) invitations to the ADT Golf Skills Challenge Champions Dinner scheduled to take place on Monday, October 26, 2009, and (iv) the option to play in the ADT Golf Skills Challenge Pro-Am scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Breakers Resort.

    1. Million Dollar Shot Contest.The Million Dollar Shot Contest (“Million Dollar Shot”) provides one (1) chance for the Grand Prize Winner to hit a one hundred and twenty (120) yard short iron shot and is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Breakers Resort.  If the shot results in a hole-in-one, as determined by Sponsor’s designated judge(s) in his/her sole discretion, Grand Prize Winner will win one million dollars ($1,000,000) awarded in the form of a ten (10) year annuity made payable to Grand Prize Winner. If the ball lands within two (2) feet of the hole, as determined by Sponsor’s designated judge(s) in his/her sole discretion, the Grand Prize Winner will be awarded one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) awarded in the form of a check made payable to Grand Prize Winner. As a condition of participation, the Grand Prize Winner may be required to execute and return additional documents which, among other things, will permit the Sponsor to record and/or broadcast his/her shot, however, Sponsor is under no obligation whatsoever to do so. Grand Prize Winner must take his/her shot attempt using a golf club and a golf ball provided by Sponsor and in accordance with these Official Rules and the instructions of the Sponsor and/or its agents and representatives.  Grand Prize Winner will be allowed one (1) golf shot attempt on the hole designated by Sponsor and according to the requirements outlined herein.  The Grand Prize Winner must attempt the shot in person, and may not transfer or designate any other individual to make the attempt on his/her behalf.  NOTE: Professional golfers as defined by the USGA shall be ineligible to participate in the Million Dollar Shot.

    2. Million Dollar Shot Terms and Conditions:  The following terms and conditions apply to the Million Dollar Shot:
    3. Grand Prize Winner will not be allowed any practice or warm-up golf shot attempts on the designated hole in any manner from any distance prior to his/her attempt.
    • Nothing may be done to the golf ball, golf club or playing surface that would in any way enhance the Grand Prize Winner’s chance of successfully making the shot.
    • The shot must be initiated from behind the demarcation line indicated by Sponsor or Sponsor’s representative. Grand Prize Winner will not be allowed another shot attempt to replace a shot attempt that is faulted for being initiated in front of the demarcation line; Grand Prize Winner’s attempt will end immediately if this occurs.
    • If Grand Prize Winner fails to successfully make a hole-in-one, or land the ball within one (1) foot of the hole, during his/her one (1) golf shot attempt, each as determined by Sponsor’s designated judge(s) in his/her sole discretion, his/her attempt will end immediately and s/he will not be allowed to take another Million Dollar Shot.
    • Once the shot is initiated, the golf ball may not come in contact with or bounce off of any person, wall or foreign object other than the playing surface. If the golf ball contacts any person, wall or foreign object, it will be ruled an unsuccessful shot attempt regardless of its outcome, and Grand Prize Winner’s attempt will end immediately, and s/he will not be allowed to take another shot.
    • The eligibility of the shot is subject to USGA rules of golf and these Official Rules, provided however that, if there is a conflict between the USGA rules of golf and these Official Rules, the terms of these Official rules shall prevail.
    1. If Grand Prize Winner does not successfully make the required hole-in-one or land the golf ball within one (1) foot of the designated hole during his/her one (1) golf shot attempt, as determined by Sponsor’s designated judge(s) in his/her sole discretion, the Grand Prize Winner will not receive any cash prize.  Sponsor’s and judge(s)’ decisions on all matters pertaining to the Million Dollar Shot are final and binding.

     Thanks for the info anjessed. That was fun, but I am terrible at it, spent about hour playing because I played lot more then one time, was trying to get better.
