Hey sweepers, When sending a request for a game piece I know it's stated in the rules nothing mechanically reproduced but i was thinking that only applied to the self addressed enveloped or 3x5 card, so using one of those pre-printed return address stickers wouldn't break the rule. I know this question or a similar one on this subject was probably asked already but i couldn't find it in a search. Thanks in advance for answers and advice.

I have gotten 3 notices the sender says it's Walmart and the subject line says You have won a $1000 GC from Walmart but when I open the mail the message screen is blank. I replied to all three telling them so, but the next day I get another that says the same but the body of it says if I want to unsubscribe click here.... IS THIS SPAM?

i was doing the sweeping thing full time while on maternity leave but i have gone back to work full time and with a newborn(and two other kids 5, 7and heck my 26 yr old hubby is like a kid why not add him in there...lol), its not easy to get on here EVER, lol....but when i do i usually do a few instants (i have a select few that i do that i like) and i usually do the one time entries.....i dont do dailys cuz i dont \get on here everyday like some do and i feel i would NEVER win one only entering once....so i guess i am asking is it easier to win a one time entry or a daily entry?should i start taking a few minutes out of my day to do the dailys?

There are many vacation sweeps that also offer cash money as a part of the package prize winnings. Do to some family issues and my job, there is no way I could get away for a vacation right now but I could really use the money. Do sponsors allow you to accept just the money part of the win or do you have to take all or nothing?

I'm sure all of my questions are probably answered somewhere in this Forum but Lord that is a lot to go through. I only joined up about 2 months ago. Won a few small items but I love it none the less (so far). As my Dad use to say "Still waiting for my ship to sail in".

Is there a "key" to winning other than persistance? What's better in the long run - Instant Wins, Daily's, Weekly, One Time, or is there no rhyme or reason?

On Instant Wins is it OK to just to close without clicking "next" and "no thanks" when you haven't won instantly. Can you still win when you click "If You Can't See Click Here"?

Near the end of the month I make sure that I've entered every Contest I can. I haven't figured out when winners are notified. Some do it within a week and some make take a month. I've only been doing this for about 2 months now but is there such a thing I'm calling a "Sweet Week"? - the first week of a new month?

Many of the Sweeps offer "Travel Packages" as the Grand Prize but have other prizes as well. I don't mind a nice trip to say Los Wages, Miami, etc. but I like the secondary prizes as well. Should I not enter contests like that? I do realize I can turn down any prize but I'd be a fool not to enter the contest, right? Worry about that (what if) stuff later?

I know, win first, then ask later. But I'm more of a Planner.

There is a sweeps that pays out in money(anywhere frome 50 cents up to I don't know how many dollars), but they say they only pay it out thru Paypal. I remember about a year ago, I was going to sign up for it and two different people told me not to. One said he read a warning about it in one of his computer books(he's very into computers, scams, etc.) and someone else said stay away from it also. Is anybody here with it, and how does it work?? The fact that it was written so negatively in a book scared me out of it. I'll try and find out which book it was, and see what it says exactly. Thanks, SandySue.

Does anyone know of a sweep where you win multiple magazine subscriptions? I started getting several magazines (US Weekly, Fast Company, & Latina-and I'm not Latina!) in the mail last week that I never subscribed to! I haven't seen any charges on my debit/credit cards & 2 of the 3 have websites where you can check your subscription status & they both say that I'm paid in full. The US Weekly shows it's a $150 subscription! I have tried to contact all of them and have received no response. Has this happened to anyone else?

Sometimes on a sweepstake entry

it will ask where you heard about the sweepstake. Often times when you check "other" you are required to type in something. Do you guys type in "Sweepstakes Today" or do you just tell them you learned about it from a "sweepstake site"?. I've done it both ways but was wondering if maybe Mr.Sweepy would benifit by us typing in "Sweepstakes Today"

I just got the e-mail an affidavit for the 2009 Mike's Hard Lemonade Rivalry Sweepstakes It said I won a $2000.00 gift card to assist me in attending the rivalry game of my choice. Does anyone know what type of giftcard this might be! I'm hoping I can use it to pay off some bills too! and I wouldn't think it would cost 2000 dollars to attend a game. I received a voice mail from someone saying I had won one of four prizes in a sweep with a grand prize of a Lincoln Navigator. He said it would be the only notification I got & that it is not a telemarketer or timeshare. Think there is any chance this is real? I've never won anything.

Hi Everyone,

I've been sweeping for almost a year now but haven't won even a small prize yet. Saturday there was a bubble mailer with a small bottle inside labeled "Ice Wax". It looks like some kind of chain lubricant. There is no note inside or anything explaining why it was sent to me. The return address says it's from Garmin International in Kansas. So strange. Just wondering if anyone else has received this too?

Hi to all,

Below is the email that I have gotten a few times saying that I qualify for the washer and dryer that I sweeped for. I remember doing the entry, but when I click on the confirmation, I have to go thro all these steps to qualify, which is from signing in to answering surveys, etc... I was wondering if any of the sweepers here have encountered this. I don't usually enter the PCH sweeps BECAUSE I don't like the page after page of questions, etc.. And after reading posts here on scams and scammers, I am quite sceptical of this one... If you know it to be ligit or a scam, please let me know. For now I am just ignoring these emails. Missed a prize call about a cruise!

I came home today at about 3:30 this afternoon and replayed my messages. I came across a message from about 7:45 p.m. last night from "YTH" (Your Travel Headquarters) that said that I had entered a contest entry and that I was the winner of a norwegian cruise and needed to call back by the end of the day or they would have to release the offer. Unfortunatley I was not home and therefore did not get to call them back last night. I also check my email right away to see if they possibly had left me an email but no luck. I tried calling them back today but a recording just told me to leave my name and number, so I did. I think they are closed for the weekend because I googled the company and they only had M-F hours. This is my first time that I've won something this large (if its a real legitimate win) so I'm kind of skeptical about the whole thing but yet I think I'll be really bummed if it really was legit and lost the first big prize I've ever won. I guess if its not meant to be then its not meant to be. I'd like to hear what some of you all think about this because I think I'm going to be worried about all weekend until I can get ahold of someone Monday. By the way does remember this sweep? Thanks for any words of advise any has out there.

What are the subject lines of winning e-mails?

This is a weird question, but when you've received e-mails saying that you've won, what are the subject lines usually like? Because with work, entering sweeps and LIFE, haha, I don't get to go thru my sweeps e-mail often and I'm afraid I'll miss something.

Is it usually "Congratulations......" etc.?

Well, we did today. No big deal, I think it was supposed to be a winter hat from the Go-Gurt instant win. My daughter was a little disappointed though. I sent an email to eprize about it. Maybe they can help. The package was from "Skybridge Marketing Group". Since it was addressed to my daughter, I'm assuming it was the hat.....but would it have come from "eprize"? Eprize was the administrator for that sweep.......maybe a different prize??? I don't know. I'm sorry I'm rambling....
