I've been doing instant wins for a while which is where I got all of my 2008 wins from, but started doing sweeps around september or october of '08. I only enter ones that I can use, probably about 60/day. My 2 big wins came from one-time entries so now I make it a point to sign up for those first :)
Sorry I don't really have any tips, I guess the best advice I can give is keep doing what your doing and your day will come!
