    No 1099 form

It's March I still haven't received any 1099s for my trips to Baltimore and LA. Do I just estimate their costs and put it into my tax return? I had printed out some old travel estimates (from travelocity) before I took the trips to get an idea of the costs, although they're not the same airline or hotel just the dates.

I'm pretty sure that they're over $600 (flew from Northern CA). I've emailed and called the Administrators for the sweepstakes (Van Wagner and West Coast Marketing) back in late February, but haven't gotten a response. I also specifically emailed the person who informed me of my win, but it looks like they no longer work for the company.

You'd be best not to follow the advice of people on message boards for your taxes, you'll get half a dozen answers and none of them are guaranteed to be right.

Good advice, dj.  Yes, contact the IRS so you know exactly what they want you to do.

Ah, but the I.R.S. is wrong , i think >50% of  the time. When you call them twice and get two different answers you know you're in trouble. Good Luck.

Well...I always say.  No 1099 form no reporting to the IRS.  But that's just me.  It's never come back on me.  Just sayin'.
