    HELP!!!

I'm pretty sure this is a fraud but before I "delete" I need some help.

    NOTIFICATION OF YOUR WINNING

The Australian Foundation is glad to inform you that your e-mail has been approved a lump sum pay of US$400,000.00 (FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS) in cash credit file ref: XXXXXXXXXXX from the total cash prize shared amongst eight lucky winners in this category.

All e-mails were selected through a computer balloting system drawn from Nine hundred thousand E-mail addresses from Canada,Australia, United States, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Oceania as part of our international promotions program which is conducted annually.

This Lottery was promoted and sponsored by a conglomerate of some multinational companies as part of their social responsibility to the citizens in the communities where they have operational base.

Fill the form above and send it to the claims agent with the information provided below for fast release of your prize. To file for your claim, Please contact our claims agent through the following information below.

It requested my Name, Address, DOB, Nationality, Telephone # and E-mail address (all of which I e-mailed to them).   It gives someone's name and telephone number which I haven't called.

People like me don't win $400K but before I forget about it, does anyone have any insight?

     Thanks

    Re: HELP!!!

When I started sweeping, I ignored the advice to set up a separate email account. Big mistake. Everyday I average about 10-20 email of the kind you received. I immediately delete. Be careful. They usually are from foreign countries. I would suggest never responding. I don't think I am too paranoid.

It is a scam!  I, too, get these every day.  Do not give out any information!

    Re: Thanks for the HELP!!!

Oy!  I'm such a jerk.  I sent my information and now what do you think will happen?  Oh well, I've learned my lessons and thanks to all of you for your quick response.  We had company for dinner and I told them about it and they said the same thing as you (although they're not sweepers) don't reply.  Do you think anything bad will happen?   Isn't there some way to report these people?

Again, thanks, I'll never do it again.

Don't beat yourself up.  You might want to consider running your credit reports.

    Will do!

I'm going to wait a few days and then do just that.  Run a credit report.  My husband's going to wring my neck.  Well if you don't hear from me again you'll know what happened.  Thanks everyone!
