Oh gran, I am so sorry little Mellila has to go through this, as well as her family.  Certainly my prayers are with all of you and her drs. and nurses.  Sounds like prayers are already starting to work.  Children are so resilient.  My daughter didn't have cancer but a birth defect that wasn't diagnosed until she was 10 and her life was hell til then.  She grew up to be such a wonderful, compassionate woman and I believe it was the trials she went through as a child that helped make her this way.   Good things come out of bad things often.  God will bless her.  In the meantime I send hugs for her.

What an absolutely beautiful child.  Our family will be in prayer for yours.  Everything will be okay!!!!

May God be with your precious Melilla....and all of your family at this time.  Amazing how everything we think is so necessary in our daily lives just falls away at a time like this, and we see more clearly what is truly important.  Melilla will be fine, but my heart breaks for what she's enduring now.

You can be sure my thoughts will be with your sweet granddaughter and all your family during this very tough time!  Also, the Caring Bridge website is a wonderful way for folks who register to get in, to keep up with what is going on with your family.  Good friends of mine set it up for their daughter when she was very ill and receiving ongoing treatment.  It is a way for friends and family to post good wishes, and for you and your family to make comments about her progress at one website rather than having to respond to individual e-mails.  It is a wonderful organization!

Please know our entire family will include your grand Granddaughter in our prayers. We lost out 8-year old Grandson to Mature T-Cell lymphoma eight years ago and know the anxiety and concern that any childhood illness brings. We pray each and every day that no one should ever suffer the loss of a child. A child is such a mixed conveyor of emotions, laughter, happiness, silliness, frustrations, and unfortunately, at times, sadness. May God bless you and yours.

You have all my prayers for your little girl and you and her parents as well to have strength at this time. I have a friend who is going to Florida next week as well but she is going to Disneyland with her granddaughter who has had a miraculous recovery from bone cancer. She is only three but her chances of survival were very slim. She went through many chemo and other therapies and some of them were excruciating but she is alive and well. The whole family is going including her twin and another brother. I'm sure your family has been researching all the latest information and they should follow what their doctors and their hearts are telling them.  You can't second guess her treatment at this crucial time and every case is different.

There is a site called Caring Hands where you can post news every day if you want where family and friends can go for the latest updates and they can post their notes as well.

My father refused chemo and died. God bless you.

Dear Sandy-Melilla will be just fine!!!  You will see...she has so many people praying for her!!  That was so nice of you to share your son's website with us.  I will be sure to visit it right now and remember her in my prayers!!  May God be with you and your family at this time.  My daughter will turn 3 in a month...I can't imagine what you are all going through but I know the good Lord will be with you every step of the way!  We'll be waiting to hear your update when your return...Take Care!

 Dear Sandy, My thoughts and prayers are most definitey with you and your family as you struggle through these trying times. Her chances are great and she will prevail. On a sad note, my 17 yr old niece was also diagnosed with a very rare cancer on Dec. 24, known as Ewings Sarcoma which has spread to her outer lung and with lessions in both lungs. There are no numbers to place on her chance of survival but they are treating her very aggressively with chemo and will be undergoing Radiation and a stem cell retrieval for later. There are days I walk around in a haze trying to understand why a child should have to suffer. I know that God will heal all and that is what gets us through these days. Keeping your litttle one in my prayers each and everyday.
