    MAC or PC?

I am sure you have all seen the commercials of the MAC vs. PC. In the six months I have been entering sweepstakes I use a Mac at home and a PC at work. I am planning on closing my business this year and retiring, so now I have a dilemma, do I use a Mac or a PC? At home we have wireless and an ultra fast airport. I use firefox and autofill, but plan on trying roboform. What are your suggestions? I have three ultra smart and computer savvy children but they think my new hobby is really lame and are of no help. My husband is slightly better but still uninterested. Although I will say when a prize comes such as my blue ray dvd player, i pod , itouch ipod, or visa cards they all want the prizes! If you could have your ideal computer set up what would it be? Thanks for your input!

    Re: MAC or PC?

I love Roboform. It has cut my time in half. I am a fan of the PC myself, I don't know a whole lot about Macs, though I don't care for the single button mouse I had to use the last time I touched a Mac. I'd be lost without my scroll wheel. Good Luck Sweeping no matter what you decide to use!

I don't know if robo is supported by anything on mac. Wish it did cause I really like safari (on my PC) ! but no robo for it! Started out yrs ago as a mac user and I really do appreciate it but back then it was so limited as far as available software that I  slowly switched over. Ah, well. If anyone finds robo for safari (PC) I'd love to know about it!

I am in the same boat as Sees . . . I was a die-hard Mac user for years, but so many things stopped working, and my work files (on PC) were not compatible, so I switched to PC at home.  I miss a lot of things about my Mac, but I do love the two-button mouse and scroll-wheel on PC!

Since you're entering sweeps I would think your choice would be the MAC because of the less chance of getting a virus.  Besides, I love my MAC and they are so much more reliable.

I'm a Mac Big Smile and I don't think there is a roboform for Mac.  I use Foxfire with Fireform and I'm very happy with it.  Safari was crashing too much and autofill was only one step better than typing so I switched.

I am sorry to say the Mac is not able to use Roboform.  The one thing about my Mac that is a disappointment.  Otherwise, I love my Mac!  By the way, someone above was not happy with the mouse for Mac.  I have a Logitech wireless mouse with two buttons and a scroll wheel, just like my old PC.

    Re: MAC or PC?

I love my MAC as well, and use it for everything but sweeping because I can't use roboform with my MAC.  For sweeping a use a pc laptop so I can park my butt on the sofa and sweep while my hubby watches tv.  Not sure what mouse you were using, but mine does have a scroll wheel-well, actually more a small button that scrolls.  My ideal setup would be for roboform to be made available for mac, and then win a macbook air of course! Re: MAC or PC?

I have a laptop and a PC.  I use my PC since it is much easier for me to just sit here at the desk, and I use Firefox.  I can tab 8 or 10 sweeps in tabs and jump back and forth while one is loading or waiting for the thank you, I am entering another.  I also use Robo, but if I have time I do type first line and tab thru the rest on the bigger sweeps.  Also I would be completely lost without my mouse with the scroll button.  It conked out on me and I had to use my regular one without the scroll.  I thought I would lose it!  Couldn't wait to go out and buy another.

    Re: MAC or PC?

I use the MAC at work and PC at home. I have Roboform on my PC and use autofill on my MAC at work. It seems like it is quicker to enter on the MAC versus the PC. At least, for me that is. Personally, I would go with a MAC. That's what I plan to buy when I upgrade at home. Good luck!
Be persistant, enter daily and you will have many days of happy sweeping!

    Re: MAC or PC?

I'm new to the whole Sweeping game and I plan on sticking with my Mac just for virus security. I used PC for years and even being a safe and informed internet surfer I had so many issues with PCs. I swear I had to format my computers at least 3 times a year just to keep them running as fast as they were meant to.

But I also am unaware of any software like autofill for Mac and would love to know of any.

    Re: MAC or PC?

I have recently been writing about using LastPass for form filling.  I am liking it more and more although I don't know how to use all the features or even know if I want to use them all.  I've read that LastPass is better than Roboform from former Robo users but I don't know being a die-hard Mac user.  The last message I read from a Robo user said that they can enter automatically and I can see you can do that with Last Pass but I feel as though that crosses the line of using an automatic program.  I would think that would disqualify you.  I like being able to see the form and make sure it's filled out right and that I'm not opting into anything.   Anyway, you might give LastPass a try.
