chudder4444: Right on target with your observation. Sweeps (unless specifically limited to certain age groups or geographic areas, etc. see rules) can be won by anyone of any age.
One recent post set out the premise that women never win tools. Not true, as I won two (2) pallets of power tools and some really big power saws.
One post set out the premise that age is factor in winning a motorcycle. Not true, as a 67 year old gentleman recently won a motorcycle from a different site. How do I know this? He is my electrician. He and his wife are on a month long trip to Canada on their motorcycle.
This is a hobby that requires time and commitment plus a positive attitude.
If you are personally convinced that sweeps are fixed, then why waste your time. If you don't like the sponsors rules regarding providing DOB, then skip those sweeps. If you are concerned about identity theft, then do not enter any sweeps.
My motto: their sweeps, their advertising money; their rules.
And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. - Dr. Seuss
