Wow, what a mess.  Today is not expected to be much better weather-wise.

4 scouts were also killed at their survival camp.

    Prayers to all.

Express your own ideas, thoughts, and opinions; be prepared to defend your actions or inactions; and watch the results.

I don't intend for this to be humorous, not at all, but when I read the subject line I  thought it said "Iowa tomatoes."  Thinking about all the mess and sickness/hospitalization with the tomato/salmonella food poisonings I guess.  Anyhow, when Marli said four scouts were killed at the survival camp, I said "huh?" and got my glasses.  See how your eyes can trick you!?

Yes, the situation in Iowa is so very sad; the news accounts are unbelievable!  Thoughts and prayers to all involved in this terrible situation.

Thank you all for praying for our people and our state of Iowa... it is a tragic situation I have never seen or experienced in

my lifetime.  My husband manages buildings throughout the state and it is devastating.  We used to live in Cedar Rapids, my son

works there and we have many friends there and it is unbelieveable....we now live in Des Moines and it is not a good situation either.

Part of interstate I-80 is planned to be shut down tomorrow.,,prayer is what we need...thanks again.

Palaminodee & other members who maybe going through this disaster-

I hope  your family members & friends are okay.

These are truly difficult & trying times for all in sooo many ways. The hardships that are befalling on this country keep coming at so many different angles that it makes ones head spin.

That's why I had to laugh at jeannies post. Not to make light of any of it- at all, but to search for a smile, hope, inspiration, healing & support.

This is my wish for all who are struggling & suffering

I still feel blessed to live in America, but man - we are getting hammered left and right!  From the droughts to the floods to the tornadoes to the tainted tomatoes!  To the high gas prices and high grocery bills to so many good folks losing their homes and jobs to so many of our boys and girls losing their lives in Iraq!!  All we can do is pray!   OK - I almost made a poem here - where is Littletoyman when you need him?  Dixiemuse, I think you're right, we need to laugh more and love more too!  Count our blessings, no matter how small they are.

As for me and my house, I will serve the Lord!  Keep the faith everyone!
