    What annoys you?

I am relatively new here; I have only been entering sweeps on a regular basis for the last three months.  I love reading all of the posts on this forum--very helpful!

I am wondering what things about entering annoy you the most?  I have been surprised at some of the little things that irritate me on certain sweeps, sometimes to the point of deleting a sweep even if I really like the prize!

    Thanks for the input.  Smile

Hey jojo, here's a discussion we had a while back with quite a few pet peeves:  http://www.sweepstakestoday.com/cs/forums/p/5291/35435.aspx#35435

I know what you mean - I have deleted several sweeps just because they were so annoying.  Usually something like a bunch of mandatory survey questions, or impossible to read captcha text.  But then I figure those are the ones I should stick with, because everyone else will be avoiding them!

I hate having to type my information. It really slows me down.

Finding out I was entering sweepstakes that had 9 different websites in the contest. :(

I felt it was a joke all along. Your gut tells you these things.

    Re: What annoys you?

Providing the same info each day as I provided the day before:  Yes, my name is still the same, address and phone # (OK, maybe someone moved or has a different phone #),  my sex is still the same, and my birthday is still the same.  Yes, I agree to the sweep rules.  No, I do not want your newsletter or phone calls trying to sell me something.  And finally, I do not want your magazines.  Any magazines I want I purchase at market.

Can't they make it simple?  Register, then do any re-entries with email only

Oh, and we do not want to forget the sweeps that ask you the same trivia questions each day.  At the very least, change the trivia questions.

    Re: What annoys you?

Although it's part of the sweeping process, it annoys me to repeat the information I already entered the day before (thank goodness for Roboform).  Just recently I noticed, even though providing the info was optional, one sweepstakes wanted to know your race/ethnicity.  Now why the heck would they need to know that? Also providing annual income is none of their business and sometimes that's not optional.  HOWEVER, my annoyance dissipates immediately when I see the USPS/FedEx/UPS truck pull up to my door.

Jeanie  I agree. The first sweep that comes to mind is the Lane Furiture one.

1.I still have 2 kids and they are still over 13 years of age. Doubt they will get any younger tomorrow or the day after. If they somehow do it is sure to make headlines.
    2. I still reside at the same address for the same amount of time as I did yesterday, accept maybe one day longer than yesterday.

Oh well, if you wanna win you gotta work for it.

This one is quickly moving up on my list of annoyances!  Sweeps that require you to complete your entry by responding to an e-mail, AND THEN THE E-MAIL GETS BOUNCED BACK AS UNDELIVERABLE! Angry

Hey Jeannie:  When they ask for your level of income... if you.put down a figure that would qualify for the rich and famous, you will get mailings from every overpriced catalog you can think of! I did that once, just for the fun of it. Never again.

It annoys me that the sweepstakes doesn't list the winners when the sweepstakes is over.

    Re: What annoys you?

I know this is silly, but the Simple Green sweep asks how many children you have in your household.  Now I have 2 grown and out-of-the-house children, but instead of being able to press 0, for none, I have to say that I do not have children.   But I do have children!!!!  They're just not in the house!  Like I said, silly, but it bugs me.  I also don't like the stupid captcha things, either.  I know I get the Dodge ones wrong all the time and it still takes them.  It even tells me I got them wrong.  Why bother?  And codes.  And the surveys.  I understand wanting the information the first time, but daily entries by the same people do not give an accurate number for their study.

I'm tired tonight and just barely got my sweeping done before midnight.  LL isn't color-coding right tonight.  I guess I should go to bed and wake up all happy and cheerful for tomorrow.  Things might not bug me so much then.
