Newport News I Love Shopping $10,000 Instant Win Game Official Rules
No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win
Open to legal U.S. residents, who are 18 years of age or
older as of September 12, 2006.

1) How to Play Instant Win Game: Beginning 12:00:01 AM ET on September 12, 2006 through 11:59:59 PM ET on December 31, 2006, visit www.iloveshoppinggame.com and complete the registration page by entering your name, complete address, email address and birth date. Once you submit your information, an online game play will appear. To play, select three of your favorite styles listed (one from each column) to reveal a hidden prize, offer or discount behind each item. Once the shopping bag is filled with your three choices, it will empty automatically, to reveal three hidden messages. If your game play reveals two matching messages, you win the prize indicated or you are eligible to receive the offer/discount indicated, subject to verification. If your game play reveals that you are eligible for an offer/discount and not a prize, you will be automatically be entered into the Second Chance random drawing. If you have won an instant win prize, print a copy of the prize message for your records. You will be notified on-screen as to when you will receive either an affidavit package, your prize, or an offer/discount code, depending on level (see Rule #3). Normal Internet access, phone and usage charges imposed by your on-line or phone service may apply. Limit one online game play per person/email address.

2) Instant Win Prizes and Odds of Winning: Grand Prize (10): A $1,000 Newport News Gift Card; odds 1:29,000. First Prizes (4): A $100 Newport News Gift Card; odds 1:72,500. Second Prizes (15): A $50 Newport News Gift Card; odds 1:19,334. Offers (55): free shipping on any catalog or online purchase; odds 1:5,273. Discounts (@ 289,916 - randomly distributed): 15%, 10% or 5% off of a Newport News Purchase; odds of receiving a discount are 1:2. Approximate odds of winning any instant win prize or receiving an offer/discount are 1 in 1. Gift Cards do not expire. Grand Prizes, if unclaimed will be awarded in the Second Chance random drawing (see Rule #5). UNCLAIMED FIRST AND SECOND INSTANT WIN PRIZES/OFFERS AND DISCOUNTS WILL NOT BE AWARDED.

3) How to Claim Your Prize/Offer/Discount: If you have won a Grand Prize, you will automatically receive an affidavit package (as described in Rule #6), via mail within two weeks. If you have won a First or Second Prize, you will automatically receive your prize within 6-8 weeks. Offer and discount recipients will receive a code via e-mail to use towards their next purchase. Codes must be used by 12/31/06.

4) Verification: All game messages are subject to verification at sole discretion of Sponsor. In no event will more than the listed prizes/offers/discounts be awarded. If more Grand, First or Second Prize messages are revealed for any prize level greater than the number of prizes listed for that level, those prizes listed will be awarded in a random drawing from among all verified online claims received for that level. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited. The Sponsor and its agencies assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with this game.

5) Second Chance Random Drawing: Grand Prizes, if unclaimed, will be awarded in a Second Chance random drawing, on or about January 15, 2007, from among all eligible Second Chance entries received. Drawing will be conducted by Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this promotion. Odds of winning the Grand Prize in the Second Chance random drawing depend upon the total number of Grand Prizes that are claimed and the number of eligible Second Chance entries received. Grand Prizes will be awarded.

6) General Rules: No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event a prize is unavailable. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winners, if applicable. In the event of a dispute regarding a prize won online, that game play will be deemed made by the authorized account holder at the time of game play. The Grand Prize winners will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Publicity Release ("affidavit package"), where legal, within 10 days of notification attempt. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification and in the instance of the Grand Prize, an alternate winner will be selected. Return of any prize or prize/offer/discount notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification. By participating in this promotion, participants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. The Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for mistranscribed or faulty telephone communication for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this promotion or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the game plays/entries in this promotion. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the game play process or the operation of the game/drawing or website; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion if it is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other problems beyond the control of the Sponsor and award remaining instant win prizes claimed prior to cancellation and award all Grand Prizes from all eligible Second Chance entries received prior to cancellation. The Sponsor and each of its respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this promotion or any prize awarded. Winners/offer and discount recipients assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or by use or redemption of any prize/offer/discount or by any related activities. Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to use winners' names and likenesses for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the game materials or the offering or announcement of the prizes/offers/discounts. In the event any dispute arises regarding the promotion, each participant agrees that such dispute shall be resolved by applying the laws of New York and that it shall be resolved within and by the courts of that state.

7) Eligibility: This promotion is open to legal U.S. residents, who are 18 years of age or older as of September 12, 2006. Employees of Newport News, its advertising and promotional agencies, including Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries, and the immediate family members and people living in the same household of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited and subject to all federal, state and local laws.

8) Removal From Future Mailings: To have your name and address removed from Sponsor's future sweepstakes mailings, please call toll-free at 1-800-828-2672 and mention the Newport News "I Love Shopping" $10,000 Game and request to be removed from future mailing lists.
