    PLEASE HELP THIS PUP

I've seen peeps 'copy & paste' information from a sweeps page--like the prize description, but I can't do it without copying the WHOLE page, comments and all.  How do you do it, please?

Reason: I enter trips for Niceneice and BFF and would love to be able to 'C&P' info about the sweeps they're in and send it to them.

NBD, but I think they'd get a kick out of knowing and wishing/dreaming.

    Thnaks,

Left click just before the first word and hold the left mouse button down while moving over the rest of the words you wish to copy to select them. Release the button and Ctrl + C to copy, Ctrl + V to paste.

Thanks, Chick! I didn't word my post very well. I know how to do it, just not from a site sweep page, without pulling all the 'comments' along with me. I really appreciate your taking the time to take the time.

Oh, now I see once I repeated what you tried on a Sweps page. Hmm, HTML must be linked together. I'll have to work on this some more. Drinks

    Hey there, AnswerChickenMan,

Sorry, I didn't see your re-post earlier. Unless this conundrum has tickled your fancyfeathers and you MUST find out...please don't do it for me. Too much trouble...and I figured they must be linked and have tried all the tricks in my (admittedly small) basket~~like speaking sternly to it; shaking an angry fist at it and even the tried and true technological secret, sticking my tongue out and (gasp) booing~~all to no avail.

Should you return here,  how about this...I have this awesome Microsoft Cordless keyboard. And a tiny brush to get between the rows and 'sweep' out the cat hairs which float around my home.  My vet said she'd never seen a cat shed the way Bo does! LOL. And they're on everything. Then there's the errant crumb and (shush...) ash, which also can fall through the 'cracks'.

Other than unscrewing the screws on the bottom, (a frightening thought as I have no idea where that would lead), turning it upside down and shaking it (failed parlously), is there a way to clean this puppy out? Or is it not necessary?

    Thnaks again and again...

    Lisa

When all else fails, I take a screen shot of a page that I can't copy and paste.

Yes, can use SnagIt or PrintKey or similar to just copy the area you want also. But my how time flies, It's been 2 weeks + since I failed at this and I must find out if possible to just paint/copy/paste HTML. Geeked

I use Swiffer to clean my cordless, but compressed air can best, though cats and chickens don't mix so I don't have the cat hair issue Big Smile

Now, back to solving the HTML conundrum... Beer

By accident (I mean by rushing, which I do many times), this is how I copy/paste my new way in ST.  1st, I open my "Create Mail" (like I'm going to send an email).  2nd, I triple-left-mouse-click Mr. Sweepy's prize details or member's comment until that section only is highlighted.  3rd, I hold down left mouse button while dragging the whole section to the text of my "Create Mail".  4th, In the email,  I hit several enters/returns before the dragged text.  Then I copy/paste as usual.  Then I remove the dragged text by double-left-mouse-click & delete.

I hope that works for everyone because it helped my alot since we can not copy/paste like before the upgrade.

Somebody here, and I can't remember where I saw it...must have been on one of the sweepstakes comments, said that that when they upgraded to the latest version of Internet Explorer (latest is IE 7) the problem of not being able to copy like they used to was completely solved.
