    My strategy

Only enter those that are worth winning. Prizes like, shoes, perfume, t-shirts, or items for which you have no use aren't worth bothering with. Only enter for trips that you really want and are of value to you. For example, I don't enter trips to Las Vegas since I am not interested in the shows and I can always get better deals on my own for a MUCH lower price. Not interested in European vacations but will enter for Asia and the Pacific. Enter only for the cruises that interest me. Besides, with the H1N1 pandemic do you want to spend a week with several hundred/thousand possible carriers? Sweeps that provide a meet and greet with some celebrity are only of interest if there is also a large cash award.  For cash prizes, each person has to decide what amount is worth spending time on. For me, $1000+ is minimum. Might enter if there are multiple cash prizes. Cars are almost always good to enter. Avoid long-running sweeps for minimal prizes. Enter IWs only if there are also valuable prizes awarded in a drawing. Most of the IWs are virtually worthless and the odds are ridiculous. Note: sweeps with good prizes in the drawing that require you to jump through a lot of hoops are a good bet since most will be too frustrated to enter consistently.

Also, don't worry about missing entries while on vacation, etc. Leave the laptop at home. Missing 10 daily entries over the course of a year-long sweep doesn't change the odds very much. Enjoy the fun of anticipating that BIG WIN but don't let it run your life. GLTA!!

    Great advice.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I guess we all have our needs. If I had used that stategy I would have won nothng and probably would have given the hobby up by now. I've won small prizes, enough to keep me going. I enter for any amount of money.

I agree with you for sure.  In Jan. a lot of us resolved to keep our entries low.  I don't want to enter just to say I won and end up with a lot of junk I don't need or want and living your life is so much better for you.  I laugh when I see some of the lists of wins and 99% of the list is just junk.

I have to agree I'm getting a case of that. Guess I should re-evaluate.
