I feel like a new woman!

I took the plunge and set up a new e-mail address today.  When entering my sweeps I had to re-register but hopefully it will pay off.  I've been using the same e-mail address for everything; personal and sweeps since I started on the internet...too many years ago to remember...LOL

You know Suzanne,  I was thinking about setting up a new email address just for sweeping too but had a concern about whether or not it would create a problem for me with the sweeps I have already been faithfully entering.  Sometimes the rules say you cannot enter using multiple email addresses. Does anyone out there know if it's okay to re-register under the same name but with a different email address mid-way thru a sweepstake period?

I think that means not to enter both of them at the same time/day...hopefully!  I am only using one e-mail address.

Re: I feel like a new woman!

I switched over to a new sweeping e-mail recently.  I think it's good to make the switch at the end of a quarter, because so many of the sweeps shut down then anyway.  I did see Mr. Sweepy post that if you are going to start a new e-mail you should do it before the new year, though.  Again, I am guessing that is because TONS of things end on 12/31, and so many new sweeps begin with the new year. I would have thought 1/1/10 would be the perfect time to start a new address.

Once I made the switch, I used my new address exclusively (except for a few that wouldn't let me switch).  I think that made me look less like I was trying to cheat. That's just my opinion, though.  I have no idea how they would actually respond to seeing two e-mails used in one sweeps.  Still, you have to make the change at some point, so I just hope for the best.

I learned that I should make my sweeping e-mail address name short!

Oh yes, the new e-mail address is much shorter and easier...LOL  Already getting junk mail, even though I always opt out of it...comes with the hobby I guess...

I feel like a new woman, too, but my wife would object.  (OK...she is a keeper Devil )

I had an address change 2 years ago and was worried my wins would be invlaidated because the address was different or a prize mailed to me would be sent back.  As far as I know there was no problem...but then I wouldn't know, would I?
