i'm new here and would like to know please! in case of winning and if they couldn't reach you by phone, are they sending Emails?

days ago i received a call but it's not my name although the phone number is right...please i need to know if they send emails too

 Depends on the sponsor/administrator.  I have received calls, but without email followup - if you have not received an email, probably not.  Good Luck with this!

Each sweepstake has it's own method of notifying potential winners - phone calls, emails, letter or even FedEx or UPS. They usually state how many times they will attempt to contact you, and by what means. Also, the time frame they will use. That is one reason why you should read the rules before you enter. If the prize is large/expensive they will make a greater effort. If you missed a call and didn't get another - or some other notification - within a few days, then it is doubtful that it was a win notification. By the way, welcome to ST! You will surely get some winning notifications if you make the effort to enter the sweeps! Questions are always welcome, but don't forget to read the forums past and present. GSTY!

if you go to the top of the page and put in a search,  reverse number look up and find a free service,u can find out where the phone came from and hopefully find out if it's legit.

Don't know what I could add.  Most, but not all sweeps, will make more than one attempt to notify a winner.  Many also use multiple methods of notifications. Again, as others have said, the details are in the rules.  GSTY!

How do u know it was even for a sweep?  I get wrong nos all the time.

 Barbara has a good point because they didn't use your correct name.  They've never gotten my name wrong.....  But I hope for good luck for you!

Did they indicate it was a sweep?  Did they leave a number to call back?  So many questions, so few answers.  As noted, methods of notification can vary.  Usually, the notification method is listed in the rules.
