Thanks, everyone! I thought they did have a different Nintendo platform and I picked that on the possibility it would be compatible, so we'll see!
Chuck, if it's not compatible, I don't know if I'd be able to exchange it anywhere, although I would check into that possibility. When I won an LG phone in plain black, none of the Sprint (I think it's Sprint) stores would exchange it for the engraved purple phone. Same phone, same price, just a different cover. I checked at several different locations and I always got the same answer, that they couldn't exchange it because of that bar code thing. Everyone was very nice in trying to assist me, but supposedly their inventory system didn't allow for an exchange since the phone I had wasn't from a purchase. So that was an interesting learning experience.
I would still try it again just to make sure that's the way that always turns out. Plus, it might be easier to get a store credit for a format switch if I turned in a perfect, unopened game during the day-after-Christmas exchange fandango. I would still be prepared for Walmart to say, Sorry, No, though.
