I was reading the posts to see if you wrote about the game...I saw that I wrote welcome instead of THANK YOU! I guess I was so moved that you were going to do that! I graduated from Salem High in 78.Savannah's grandfather was a history teacher from Dickinson, and we used to go to the Dickinson dances. They were the best, I bet you went to them also...I hope you and your daughter had a good time...Thanks again for your kindness...GO PHILLIES!!!  ljb

lasi - I'd be happy to send you the Phillies poster I sported at the game last night.  It's kind of beat up.  If you'd like it, post your email or ask Mr. Sweepy if he'll send me an email with your email address.  My daughter wanted to know what I was writing on the back, so I told her about Savannah's sad story.  Then I hugged her and said I thanked God she is healthy.  "Cut it out, Mom, you're embarrassing me!", she said.  Ah. well. 

What a great game!  We had a blast!

Thanks lasi, I just sent you an email.  Reply back with your address and I'll send you the poster right away. I'm thinking that having Savannah there in spirit brought the Phillies that extra shot of luck to keep them alive.

Now my daughter Faith is suddenly a huge Phillies fan. She didn't really care much for watching sports on tv and wasn't following the Series. I'd taken her to a minor league Blue Rocks game a couple of years ago, but she was bored by it. But there was no one bored at the game last night -- that stadium was rocking bigtime! The excitement was amazing and contagious. Truly a memorable experience that will bring smiles to both of us for the rest of our lives. I'm so glad I didn't succomb to the temptation to sell the tix for a couple grand.
