Wow! I got a call tonite telling me I've won 2 tickets to tomorrow night's World Series game in Philly.  These come from my local paper, the Wilmington News Journal.  I'll take my 10-year-old daughter for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. 

This past month has been a lucky one for me.  I won two prizes from Sears:  A $100 KMart gift card, and then a $5,000 deposit into my daughter's college savings fund, plus $1,750 to pay the taxes on the prize.  You know, all this started happening after I filed for divorce in early October -- I should have done that much sooner!

Go Phillies!!!

WTG!!  Sounds like a great month or so of sweeps winners for you!  congrats.

A big congrats to you...I'm right across the bridge in Jersey, and was hoping for this one too! Have a blast!

I was wondering if you happened to have heard of Savannah Pauley,(savannahstrong) who lost her battle with cancer at age 10 on Sept. 13,2009. She was from Wilmington and last year she was there when the Phillies won the world series. Go to youtube. com and plug in her name. In the offchance that you knew her story, I was hoping someone would put Savannahstrong on the back of a poster for the Phillies game...

lasi - I will certainly write Savannahstrong on the back of a poster this evening.  I was very saddened to learn her story -- and I am thanking God that my own 10-year-old daughter is healthy.  Not sure if there's a family connection here, but I was friends in high school with Cheryl Pauley (Concord High School, class of '80).

Congrats!  What a great game you got to see.  Phillies fans never get to just sit, relax and watch a game!  It has to be drama to the end. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did watching it at home.
