    Blog Cabin Sweepstakes Update

Just found this while searching to find info about a winner:

When the 2009 Blog Cabin was completed, we were excited that it was a home worthy of our audience’s vision. We are proud of the television series documenting the construction, as well as the online videos, interactive photos and projects that we hope you will continue to enjoy. Unfortunately, however, various issues have prevented us from closing on the house and being in a position to award it to a winner. DIY Network no longer has any affiliation with the developer, nor are we involved with the developer’s apparent efforts to sell the 2009 Blog Cabin. Instead, we are pleased to announce that we will be awarding a cash prize that is equivalent to the approximate value of the home, an alternative that is described in the 2009 Blog Cabin sweepstakes rules.

While we’re disappointed that we will not be able to give this home away, we know that a cash prize of over $500,000 will certainly help one lucky sweepstakes winner still realize his or her own fantasy getaway. We are already working toward securing a location for next year’s Blog Cabin that will be innovative and full of surprises.

DIY Network greatly appreciates your interest in the 2009 Blog Cabin promotion, and we look forward to your insightful contributions to Blog Cabin 2010. Look for new posts in the coming weeks!

Holding up my hand over here and waving madly to get their attention.  CALL ME, CALL ME, CALL ME, please.  Wink

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

OK, OK. If I have to take cash I guess I'll just have to suffer and take it.  Poor lil' ol' me.

Bummer.  Actually looked forward to packing up, figuring out how to pay the taxes, getting the old place ready to sell, driving to the new locale, fuming over the damage from the movers, unpacking, moving the furniture to where we want it set and hoping the dog adjusts well.   NOT!!!  Actually, they posted this change the last couple weeks of the sweep, but not the reason.

I'm sad that things didn't work out the way they planned... but half a MILLION dollars would make me forget all about it! Would that be the biggest ST win ever if one of us won it? Or did someone win a million some time in the past? PICK ME! PICK ME!!Stick out tongueWinkParadise

SO....WHEN IS THE BIG DRAWING DAY?  Cause I want to stay home that day in case they call .....ME!  LOL

What a dream win that would be, huh?  It would be like winning the lottery.

Oh, the many dreams we weave, if they'd pick me so I receive, and learn again, how to believe!!  Yeah, in fairytales!  LOL
