Hi, PLEASE HELP!  I am new to your site and hope some one can help me with this problem.

I just switched my ISP from dial up to cable--cause it is so much faster. I had Adobe-MicroMedia Flash player working fine on my dial up, but now it stopped working. I un-installed and then tried a number of ways to re-install (including suggestions on their web site) but the free program seems to stall and not complete the download process for some reason. (I am using a 2 yr.old pc & Windows XP.)

Then when I check my control panel, it lists Flash Player, but it doesn't run when I click on sweepstakes wen sites that require it--which are quite a few.

Could someone make any suggestions to help me?

Jodie, switching ISP should have nothing to do with this unless the new ISP has provided a firewall. You should be able to check these settings from your ISP icon.

I know you said you uninstalled, but uninstall and REBOOT the PC, then try to download again. That should work. 

If not, go here http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html and check the security and storage settings.

I know this might be dumb to you but I am not the best computer person. How do you get a picture to show up on the side under your name? Thanks for the help.

Hi Judy,

 Yes, you can do it, but first you need an avatar (picture) saved somewhere on your local drive where you can find it: My Pictures or My documents is a good folder to put it in. At the top right of this page you'll see Signed in as JudyP - click your name and go to your Profile, click the tab "Avatar" and then make sure the radio button is Yes to enable. Click the "Browse" button and travel to the folder where your pic is, click the pic and then "Upload" - that should do it.

Write again if that isn't clear - also there is a section in the forums where Mr. Softy proovides help.
