My wishlist has changed, I wanted a new car, but now I need a new tv, since my Sony LCD died and it costs too much to get it fixed. I can't afford to buy a new one right now, so I will be entering every contest that is giving away a tv.

Wow - LCD televisions haven't been around that long! Yours shouldn't have crapped out already! I'd pay to see what the problem is - it shouldn't be anything that expensive... unless it was fried by a lightning strike! Good luck!

The extended warranty ran out in January. Unfortunately, it may have been lightning or a power surge which is what the flashing code indicates. It was run through 2 surge protectors, which I disconnected & tried another, no problem with stereo or satellite receiver. I found a repair shop in a nearby town, that I have been told is reasonable, so I will take it in & see if it is worth fixing.
