    question about phone calls

I received a voice mail from someone saying I had won one of four prizes in a sweep with a grand prize of a Lincoln Navigator.  He said it would be the only notification I got & that it is not a telemarketer or timeshare.  Think there is any chance this is real?  I've never won anything.

Not to rain on your parade, Trish, but I think notification of a win that big would be personally delivered - not in a voice mail. However - follow up on it and see what it's about. I don't think you have anything to lose. But DON'T give out sensitive personal info over the phone - beware of scammers! Was this a contest you remember entering? What info did you receive in the voice mail? Keep us informed about what you find out, and good luck!

    Re: question about phone calls

Thanks for the quick response.  My caller id says prize fulfillment.  The person left a name & number with extention.  He said I entered a contest that had ended for a Lincoln Navigator & I won one of four top prizes.  He called two days ago while I was out of town.  I left a message on his voice mail this evening.  I've entered so many contests & never won anything.  Guess I will have to wait & see.  Thanks.

The thing that is weird is caller ID says prize fullfilment. Check out this link. Look at comment from Mark  on Oct 22, 2008. You should read more, but that one sounded alot like your call. There is several pages. Was his name Bill?

If you still have the number you can do a reverse number look up and see who the number belongs to.just type reverse number look up in search.

    in google or yahoo,or bing

    Re: question about phone calls

Received a phone notification from The Office for a $1000 prize. Did a reverse number search and it looked OK. Was able to call back and talked with sweeps facilitator. Provided all required info via PO after receiving forms via eMail. They did not ask for personal info over the phone.
