There are many vacation sweeps that also offer cash money as a part of the package prize winnings. Do to some family issues and my job, there is no way I could get away for a vacation right now but I could really use the money.  Do sponsors allow you to accept just the money part of the win or do you have to take all or nothing?

Most of the time there is no substitution allowed, but every now and then there is. All you have to do is read the rules for each sweep that offers trips, and you will have your answer.

You could always take the cash and "accidentally" miss the flight.  :)

I don't think it works that way, annie. You get credits or vouchers to make sure you don't try that.

 I know when I won the Disney vacation for new years last yr I didn't get my visa gift card till I arrived at the hotel. My Boyfriend won a vegas trip from newport last yr he got a 1000. check right before we left. So I think it depends on who's doing the sweep and how there rules read. 

Rules will determine if you can accept just the money part of the win.  Be careful so you are not on the hook for taxes for the trip (taken or not).
