    FOR MR. SWEEPY

Thank you SO much for the second chance. Macbug told me if I my posting privileges were going to be rescinded that would have already happened, so I am assuming the thanks aren't premature!

When you have a spare moment (do you ever?)--no rush, would you please take a look at my last posting under "Sweepstakes Comments", post title "So Many Nice People" there are only 4 (right now) and the one I would like you to read is the last...or 4th.

Now, would it be within the rules for me to do something like that on an existing sweeps page?  How about in the Forum? Of course if I did it there I'd simply write down the member names from the Cinnamon Crunchy Sweeps, put them in a hat and draw 4 names. They're becomming SO sad and actually counting how many $100 prizes are left, in their posts.  It would  really just be by way of a little pick-them-up and a small way for me to say "thanks" for all they are doing and have done for me, personally.

A SECOND AND BIGGER THAN EVEREST THANK YOU:

As I am mostly housebound ( and to a great extent by choice), ST has become a way to be in a community, without actually having to be IN a community.  I have so many new 'friends' in my home each day, who, thank goodness, are not actually in my home. and i look forward to reading their words even more than posting my own. I can be social and still be home. As a matter of fact, my shrink is now considering refering several of his patients to ST for use as a 'coping tool'.  You may have been told these things before, but just in case, I wanted to make sure you were aware of the ripple effect, on a positive level, which you have created.

    Hi Elf,

I posted a response to your tax question.  I would suggest that to the DCI and SS part to talk with a CPA or tax expert, I also suggested to simply go to your local IRS office for help.

I think I understand what you are asking but not totally clear.  If you would, write me a email about your idea and I will reviewe it closer.

Thanks again and glad to hear about the good feeling you receive from ST, the members and the opportunity to win great prizes.

looking at your post times are you sure you're not mr. sleepy?  i'm working out "my personal IW sweepstakes" details so it makes sense on all levels, for everyone and will email it to you when i get it all figgered out.  and thank you for the tax suggestions.  interestingly enough, in a later call with SS disability (and i am not posting any of this information), they really don't want to know about anything other than "work-related income", however I do know the IRS would "beg to differ".  on a purely personal level, given that my disability is mental/emotional (and one i've been fighting all my life tho i've only had to resort to disability for the past 8 years) i still think i'd go for the "Twinkie Defense"! you're probably not old enough to know what that means.

have a lovely non-work-related weekend (are they ever?),

    Lisa,

Correction on on point...  The IRS doesn't really know either.  You can talk with 5 person there and get several different answers for sure.  So I somewhat shopped for a IRS Rep who would see my point of view and interest. So play the system to your benefit.

    No... I don't sleep that much either...lol

    Re: FOR MR. SWEEPY

just in case you missed this one....although mary d posted her daily ($2,500) Travelocity win on the Forum, on the sweeps page she mentioned she'd deleted their first email because she was at the Mayo Clinic for a couple of weeks being tested to see if she could get on their liver transplant list.  Now that would be a win in the purest sense.  Rather puts all of this into perspective, doesn't it?

Thanks for all of the excellent advice and for the time it took you to give it.
