NEWBIE SWEEPER WITH TIME ON HIS HANDS...

Hi everybody! Let me first say that I am very glad that I stumbled onto Sweepstakes Today - Mr. Sweepy and his great staff work hard for us and make it easy and pleasurable to pursue our "hobby". Secondly - I have been warmed by the community I found here since I joined "the family" a couple months ago. Your help and advice via the forums - and user comments accompanying each sweep entry page - have been a boon. I've been "retired" since last Christmas; and with time on my hands, I've been spending two or three hours every day sweeping and learning about sweeping. I enter 150 to 200 sweeps per day; and in my short time doing so I've won a movie ticket, two jars of Pace products, and two prizes from HSN - a $50. coupon and a 20% off coupon. All my wins were IW; and none of them came in the middle of the night. The HSN coupons weren't very useful to me because they require you to spend money just to use them - money I don't intend to spend... My first round of entries just expired, so I don't know if I've won anything valuable - I understand it takes weeks before winners are notified after contests end. But I have entered for houses, cars, vacations, TVs, computers... and oh yeah - CASH! So I'm hopeful that one day I'll see the FedEx or UPS truck rumble up to the house with word that I am a (big) winner! I'll definitely let y'all know WHEN that happens! Happy and profitable sweeping to all! Chuck.Cool

     Welcome Chuck!

Be patient and don't give up.  It may take a while but that UPS truck will pull up.

    Welcome.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Hey, owilkins, I've read many of your posts! Sounds like you're a serious sweeper, but you're having a dry spell. Thanks for the welcome, and Good Sweeping To You! I think we should start using GSTY like some use GLTA - ha ha. Chuck.

Hi Chuck and welcome to ST.  Keep up those entry numbers and you will do well. It sounds from your post you pick up pretty quick on what it takes to be successful in sweeping.  FedEx and UPS clubs are nice to hear.  However the really big wins are usually by phone first...lol

As President of Sweepstakes Today, one of my biggest rewards is reading about your wins and the positive impact it can have on the members.

Thanks for the comments, Craig. I keep my cell phone at hand, waiting for that call! I'll be on vacation for a couple weeks, away from home and my computer. I'm hoping that I don't get any notification of winnings while I'm unable to reply (affys and such)... We'd like to hear that YOU'VE won something, too! GSTY (Good Sweeping To You) and GLTA of the family of sweepers!

     Hi Chuck,

This is a great place, isn't it?  I like reading the comments when I have time that show up on each contest. Lots of humor here.

I have only been sweeping since about Oct 2008 and have won a few things every so often.  Biggest win has been $50.00

dinner card along with a movie voucher.  Won a few gas cards and gift cards.  Yeah, I am waiting for that big win too!

      GLTY and have fun.

Re: NEWBIE SWEEPER WITH TIME ON HIS HANDS...

Hi, chata1, and thanks for the message! I just read your question about RoboForm, which I use exclusively. There has been a lot of commentary in the forums concerning Robo and the others like it. Also - Mr. Sweepy addressed this question in the July newsletter, so you may already have read it. The upshot is that Robo and the like should not be a problem for us sweepers, because the companies sponsoring the sweeps do not consider them as automated programs. The automated programs can't fill in the image-match boxes turning up on more and more sweeps entry pages, thus cutting down on the cheaters who submit thousands of entries with the APs. I know - Robo and the other "auto-fill" programs can't read the image-match boxes, either. That's why we have to key them in manually - and that is the proof that we don't use the cheaters' APs... So until Mr. Sweepy warns us not to use RoboForm, that is the only way I can enter 150 to 200 sweeps daily - and that is the only way I believe I have a chance to win the big prizes! I've won eight coupons in the two months I've been sweeping on ST - but my goal is one big prize a year, in addition to those small wins which keep us all going! So GSTY (Good Sweeping To You) and peace, Chuck.Yes
