Hi Rusty, On your first point, there is a big difference between spam and opt-ins from the sponsor. Spam is totally unwanted email and usually comes from a foreign country (bad guys). Since we put up sweeps from quality name sponsor, they will send newsletters or advertisement. All of these you can opt-out under the Can-Spam Act. The bad guys disregard every law there is.
With that said, the best wins is where you receive a telephone call. If you receive a call, the odds are pretty good that it will be a big prize. The next best is special delivery or FedEx. The sponsor or administrator will send you the paper work, Affy and details about the sweep and prize. Last is a email notification method.
Last, luck has nothing to do with winning a sweepstakes or prize. Winning the big sweeps is a numbers game. If you want to win a car, it is about entering not in one sweep but think in terms of entering in 20 or more sweeps with a car prize per year. I have won 2 trucks but never have won a iPod or Zune which I really wanted. So I can say the truck wins is no more about good luck than I can say that not winning the iPod is about bad luck. I can say that there was a mathamatical chance that either could happen. I have seen steaks of both kinds in sweeping, both winning and non-winning. If you keep your entry basket full, one day you entry will be picked.
Thanks for the question,
Mr. Sweepy
