I received my eCertificate code yesterday afternoon. Cathy had gone the extra mile to get me my code first since my step-daughter's wedding is NEXT FRIDAY (yikes!). I had put together an order for about $500 (saved in My Favorites) so the order was ready to go... I thought.
As it turns out, the $1000 in merchandise has to be ordered in ONE ORDER! And it doesn't cover Shipping or Taxes. I missed this info in the affidavit that I'd signed, but it's there. It probably should have been in bold type. I'd read that I had until 12.31.09 to use it but missed the "all in one order" part.
My husband and I scrambled to put together a $1000 order, trying to think of what items they have on the site that we can actually use (other than the dress, jewelry, shoes, undergarments that I'd selected originally). In order to get my dress here ASAP, I had to pay for "next business day" shipping - again not covered by the eCertificate. The order ended up costing me about $120 to ship. Some of the items will be personalized and won't get here for a few weeks, but that's fine with me as long as my dress arrives in time for the wedding... and it FITS!
Anyway, I just wanted to give the other winners a "heads up" on this.
This is still a fabulous prize, but I was a bit stressed last night when I realized that I HAD to put together a large order...
