Jim,

I too would like to give heartfelt thanks to the Lord for your continued presence on this earth, so that you may continue to be the loving husband, father, friend and whoever else you are to others (don't know about your relatives..ha-ha).  You have inspired me with your poems, and encouraged me so many times since I became a member of ST in 2006. I was truly stunned and afraid that we might have lost you.   Jim, Thank You for being You!

I was away dealing with my own family medical emergency.  My sister had been hospitalized on March 10th after collapsing at work, they released her in 5 days later telling her they couldn't do the surgery she needed in Tallahassee.  The soonest appointment we could get with the specialist was on the 31st. I drove my sister to Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, FL to see this specialist, he scared the crap out of us by telling us he had to hospitalize her immediately or she was probably gonna die (she's 53), and he said those Dr's in Tallahassee were Idiots for ever letting her out of the hospital . I spent 8 days down there with her, they did the surgery and it was successful, and she will live! Praise the Lord!

So hopefully both of you are on the mend, and will be around a long, long time to come!  Life just wouldn't be the same without ya!

Thank you, I am truly blessed, with a wonderful wife, kids, in-laws, grandkids and great grandkids, and many, many friends to include all the members of the ST Family. Your kind words, and those of others, are the inspiration that have kept me coming back to this site, I feel among friends here, friends that allow me to share their joy and excitement when they win, and in turn offer high-fives should I win, but more than that, they exhibit concerns of one another's well-being in times when a pat on the back, or words of ecouragement are needed.

I am sorry to hear of your traumatic experience as it concerns your sister's illness, I too hope that her recovery will be full and complete, that her doctor was as competent as mine were. She will be included in our thoughts and prayers as our friend Cindy's sister.
