Halogen, I am sorry about your loss of Cassandra.  Who is she?  She obviously meant a great deal to you.

    Re: Tragic news....

Cassandra was an Associated Press writer/reporter, and a sweeper. She had a few decent wins under her belt, and was a driving force to organize a sweepstakes club in northern Virgina.

During a tragic and dark period in my life in the last 1990s, she selflessly gave of herself to help me through it. Everyone who knew Cassandra knew she was a gentle and loving soul.

When she was 50 years old she died of b-reast cancer, November of 2003. We knew she was ill, but she never let on how serious it really was. Her death came as a complete surprize.

Many of Cassandra's stories can be found on the web.

My heart goes out to you and your girlfriend.  I didn't see an earlier post, so I figured out what happened by reading through the posts.  It sounds like your girlfriend was misled to believe she won $1,000,000 when, in fact, it was $50,000.  Congratulations on the $50,000 but I'm hoping she gets the million.

Thank you for telling me about such a special person.  You were blessed to have known her and been touched by her kindness.

I, too, hope that things work out with your girlfriend's win.  Good  luck.

Halogen, sorry about your loss.  This kind of tragic news is always so difficult - she sounds very special.  Hope you have good news to share on the outcome of your girlfriend's win when all is said and done!  Vickie

    Re: Tragic news....

Cassandra passed five years ago next month. I just wanted to remind people who knew her.

As for the $50,000 win, that happened almost two years ago.
